Mammoth liquor & market — Local services in Mammoth Lakes

My friend and I walked in to this store at about 4pm on 11/19 to immediately be greeted to the cashier, rudely and condescendingly, telling a person (who stated his first language was not English) how to either say:

“yes, I’d like a reciept… or no, I don’t want a reciept, it’s that easy…”

The customer apologized for not fully understanding what the cashier was asking, and the cashier stated “well you seem to understand english good enough.”

Then the cashier had the audacity to say the customer “had a problem” after the customer asked, “what’s your problem sir?”

&TLDR: Cashier is rude, don’t spend your money here, great selection MULTIPLE places within a mile.

And if you’re the cashier reading this… dude you need to reevaluate your life and the way you treat people. Energy you put out in the universe will come back to you. Start sending positivity and kindness, because right now you definitely are...

Have never encoutered a more rude person at the check out ever. Just an unhappy and frustrated old man I feel so sorry for. I had some cash and wanted to put the rest on my card, which most places do no problem, told him how much i had when i handed it to him, mulbled something and I was like “okay I’ll put it on my card then”, while the dude takes the stuff to the side and proceeds to say “i’ll do this, i’ll take this away and you can go, you’re too much of a hassle”. Read the reviews and was a little hesitant to spend my money at this liquor store. Saw that they have over 300 beers and thought I'd let myself decide if it's somewhere I want to spend my money... Walked in, looked around and saw a nice assortment of different beers (and liquor) and all of them seemed reasonably priced. Chatted with the owner about his sports teams and he seemed really friendly. I had no issues and thought the prices were fair....
