This is the spot in Mammoth. Family friendly lively snowbum bar scene, real tables for family seating, awesome real food, great drinks and amazingly friendly staff. Not to mention FREE live music on weekends. Outside seating depending on your comfort in the cold. That’s the one-liner about this place, here’s the detailed skinny. Food: Everything you want from a bar/restaurant menu. Pub Grub, sandwiches, burgers, salads, a few entrees and even apple-pie-a-la-mode! Then menu isnt cluttered, and something for everyone without resort town prices. (where the locals go). Oh. ask/look for off menu specials depending on what the butcher had. Bar: Full service bar with a great sitting bar for conversation, wise-ass cracks and bragging about your bump runs. Many local seasonal craft beers, and beers you know. Staff: They rock. From making you any drink you can think of, to keeping you topped off. The wait staff is super friendly and are very responsive. And they always have your back. Music: On most weekends (year round) there is free, live eclectic bands. Ranging from roots rock, blues, reggae, funk and even late night dj’s. Huge unpretentious dance floor. Get down in your snow pants or get gussied up to the nines for the night. it’s just fun. All in all this place is more than a bar. It really is a community pub. 10/10. will return. photo of off menu special.

We found this place when walking along the various sporting goods shops on frontage road. When we saw that they had a Philly cheesesteak on the menu, we had to give it a shot. We ordered the cheesesteak and fries, and since it was happy hour, we choose the pepperoni flatbread. The service was very friendly and helpful, even with us not ordering any alcohol. The cheesesteak was very good, it’s offered with wiz, American or provolone. Chicken or beef, with or without onion. We chose the wiz, beef and onion. Only con was they didn’t have bell peppers. It was a really nice cheesesteak and hit the spot. The fries were nice and crispy and very flavorful and crazy addictive. On the downside, I wouldn’t recommend the pizza. I don’t feel too bad about trying it, since it was happy hour, it was only $5 to add it on to the meal, but we left about half of it uneaten. It was just generally not flavorful. Not particularly bad, just bland. In hindsight I wish we had ordered the pretzels instead. They looked much better on the plate of our neighboring table. The atmosphere was 100% sports bar, so if you’re looking for a place to watch the game while in town, this is it, they had TVs all lining the walls, each capable of showing a different game, and the staff is more than welcome to change a tv to a requested game. I would definitely come again and recommend you do too!

The food was 3/5, nothing special, a bit pricy for what you’re getting but that’s okay. Overall until the moment we asked for the bill it was a good experience. However, after getting the bill from (I guess the owner, Steve? If I remember it correctly) we selected the custom option for the tip which was around 10%, he declined it and said it was too low and that we should at least tip 18%. I asked him why and gave him some pointers and apparently he’s making a loss if you don’t tip at least 18%. We found it very rude and at the end we’ve accepted it but with a nasty aftertaste. He won’t see us back again, too bad, we liked the vibe of the place. And yea, I know EU doesn’t have a tip culture but come one, it’s my decision how much I tip… so based on the last, we don’t recommend the place unless your are willing to pay more for something that we think isn’t worth.

This was just a horrible experience! We had been looking for a place to eat after driving 5 hrs . This was the only place open due to it being 4 th of July . When we walked in we were unsure if we had to wait to be seated or we sat ourselves. After a min or so of waiting someone at the bar said” sit where ever you want” . We were two families. But, they sat at their own table and we sat at our own table. Mind you we were not sitting together nor engaging with each other. Our waiter KAT came up to our table and asked if we were all together and I told her no, they were doing their own thing and we were doing our own thing . She rolled her eyes and turned around and walked to their table. As she began taking their order she then came to us and took our order . ( she then asked them if we would be doing everything on one tab. They said yes, without knowing we had already said no) . She then began to take our order and then I told her our order was separate from theirs and she began to say it was just too confusing to do 2 separate bills . At that time I was irritated because I had already told her we were doing separate tabs the other family then told her they also wanted separate bills, but she kept pushing for one tab , I felt I had to agree with her ). She then Proceeds to brings our drinks . She brings 2 lemonades and placed at our table and says “ I don’t know who ordered what so you can figure it out”. She stops by at other tables around us and ask if they need anything else except our table, we had to keep flagging her down. As we are paying I ask her if the tip was already included and she stated yes because we were a large party ! Not that we were not going to tip her , but she took that upon herself to do that . We tried to pay in line and it says it can not be paid. Their system was down and we had to wait . When she finally comes back with my receipt she didn’t give me a copy something told me something was wrong . We began our drive and I looked at the receipt and it stated if used credit card you MAY be charged 7.81 fee. I checked my bank statement and she had charged me a fee. I don’t owe a credit card ! So I called and spoke to the manager , I asked for clarification and he basically brushed it off saying they don’t have a way to charge more . And if I indeed paid with a debit card I was not charged more. I told him I completely understood their policy and if I had paid with a credit card, to charged me , BUT I DO NOT OWN ONE ! He then said you can come back if you want because I can not help you over the phone . I was already on the road there was no way I was going back ! I know 7 $ is not much but it’s the principle . Check your statements people . I would never...
