Oh my god this place is a JEWEL. Never has shaved ice so delicious. Worth popping by just for that; if I lived there I’d have to have it every day. But that’s just a dude hustle for the PHENOMENAL PIZZA. Seriously, this pizza is JESUS; Second Coming schmeckond coming, these pizzas made my mouth see god. Stratospheric levels of flavor orchestrated by a chef who clearly cares about what he’s crafting in that killer kitchen. If you are a diehard of The Pie, this place is your portal to the divine! I’ve lived in New York and Chicago and these pizzas are in a class all their own. Probably due to the fresh, carefully considered ingredients including my favorite and the reason I visit Colorado so often: MUSHROOMS. This chef clearly knows his mushrooms and not only how to cook them properly but also how to feature them on his pies to elevate each bite. Absolutely heavenly. All the stars in the Colorado night sky are not enough to rate this place. I’m dying to get back and may just have to have some shipped frozen, though I don’t know if my oven can approximate his state-of-the-art firebox. RUN, DO NOT WALK to this...

It was a short walk up from town and worth every step. Restaurant is small with a couple of tables and chairs, but why not sit in one of the nearby parks and enjoy the outdoors?
We got the added pleasure during our visit to speak with one of the owners and their mother. Shared stories about the business, Manitua area, and where we lived.
The pizza was amazing, and I have had my share of pizzas. There were 2 unique features of this pizza. The first was hand-made sour dough crust and how thin it was. I usually don't eat the pizza crust b/c it is all bread and fills you up. The pizza and toppings went to the edge, and I ate every bit of it. Second was the red sauce. Fresh pieces of garlic and the right amount of sauce that didn't over take the flavor of the toppings.
I know it is away from downtown but you have to go there. We are already looking forward to our return trip when the Aspens start to turn.
Checked the box, and...
Read moreOh me, oh pie. I’m now fortunate enough to live directly between Manitou Springs’ two pizzerias—that’s less than 70 yards in either direction—Yay me! However, that’s about as close as the comparison is going to get. This new addition to Ruxton is the champ, easily having the better crust and far more generous and fresh-tasting toppings than its older rival located merely yards away—I had a 12” red pizza with pepperoni, sausage and red onions and it was delightfully delicious. Eddie, the owner, greeter, and chef has obviously poured his heart into this endeavor and our little mountain town is all the better for it. And, that’s not all, if you are a fan of eighties and nineties movies you’re in for another treat as Manitou Baked has a fun library of moves on VHS and DVD that you can watch while you wait for your pizza to come out of the oven. Seriously, go local and give it a go, it’s definitely the best...
