On Sunday evening February 11th, during Super Bowl I decided to visit the Armadillo for dinner and drinks. Our server was not only inactive but was more focused on his girlfriend and her dog that was up on the bar. When waiters were changed I had to order my second beer that was never brought to me by first waiter with the new waiter that had just arrived. When I received my check upon review I was charged for 4 drinks instead of the two that I received and when I notified the second waiter he said he would talk to the other waiter to verify. I looked over to see our second waiter speak to the first waiter sitting at the bar with what appeared to be his girlfriend and he looked over with his girlfriend each drinking a beer that looked to be the same that we were charged two extra for. The first waiter then came over to us and said “hey I have a mortgage to pay” laughing and decided to fist pump like it was funny. Second waiter was amazing, first waiter not so. As a repeat customer this leaves a sour taste in my mouth and a bad look...
Read moreWe went here on a Saturday night and weren't disappointed! It was seat yourself and a server said they'd be over to help us. Our server was incredibly polite, helpful, and personable. We ordered drinks (wine and beer) and a pulled pork sandwich to share. The bartender noticed my original pour of wine was a little under the usual and gave me another glass to make up for it which to me was extremely generous and good customer service! We told them we'd be sharing so they brought out the sandwich already split in half with plates for each of us which was great! The pulled pork sandwich itself was really good and flavorful. Everything was incredibly reasonably priced and what I would've expected for a restaurant in downtown Manitou. The vibe was a low-key bar, so don't expect it to be super quiet. They also had live music in one of the other rooms later in the evening which is a nice addition. We'll definitely be going back to try some of their...
Read moreBartenders do not care who walks in and sits and try to get drinks or service. We have been there three times and the last one, yesterday, we walked in, sat at a high top, and waited to be greeted. The bar was almost empty and there were three people behind the bar; one walked around us and left for the day; the other two were conversing and both walked around us and did not acknowledge us. We got up and left. Like how do you expect business to boom when your employees couldnt careless who comes in and who stays?? Colorado has the worst service industry we have ever witness and yesterday confirmed it very much! We like Manitou Springs and were thinking about bringing family and friends to come in and enjoy the live music at this establishment, but if we wont get service or even a hello, then we should just got somewhere else. Besides, this place aint the only one with music and a bar! Horrible...
