El Taco Loco — Restaurant in Manitou Springs

Came here in good spirits with my family so couldn't understand the attitude given by the boy at the register throughout the making of the order and then getting my order wrong to what seemed purposely done after being specific and clear when finalizing the order.

I was gracious about the mistake, but my wife addressed it for me as shes good in these situations and the boy still didnt handled things with the most respect or care afterwards. so I definitely left with a bad impression of this worker at least. I also got my personal order later than my families not by much but again it seemed off , simply didnt feel welcomed.

The atmosphere was nice, though, and food was ok due to the entire handling of my particular order. I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to let this establishment know they need to do better with how the make their customers feel even if it was an honest mistake but it seemed personal and again came in with a positive attitude and alwaya wirh respect but...

Okay look, I really don't like to be this person, but I'm from Southern California--where they have very good, authentic Mexican food. El Taco Loco was hands down the worst Mexican food I've ever tried in my entire life. It was so bland, like....just no seasoning whatsoever. I really really wanted to like this place, but we literally ordered a variety of food last night for my family and a few of my friends, and everything I tried was disgusting. It really needed seasoning or even just like...salt? My friend did say his California burrito was okay, so I'll give that to you guys. But aside from that...I'm going to have to pass. Maybe start seasoning the food even just a little bit, and I'll go there and try again. I had to dump salsa Verde from home all over my carnitas burrito just to make it semi-edible. I literally considered taking all of the carnitas out of my burrito and putting it into a pan at home myself, and adding seasoning to try and...

This place is mediocre.. they were ten minutes late opening the door which wasn’t a huge deal but it was unprofessional.

The guy that took my order had no manners or eye contact, also very unprofessional.

I ordered the quesabirria tacos and they were sooooo small.. it comes with three and I paid $15! That wouldn’t have been an issue if the tacos weren’t child sized. I ate all three and was still hungry smh. The sauces had no flavor or spice which was very disappointing for a Mexican restaurant. My friend ordered the same thing as I did plus a side and drink and it was less expensive so idk if there was a deal or if they’re ripping people off.

Sat down at the table and realized it wasn’t even clean, had to clean it myself, yuck!

Everything was pretty bland. I do not recommend coming here if you have high expectations for Mexican food. I definitely will not be...
