Extremely dissatisfied with the lack of organization and customer service at this location. It took almost a month to book a birthday party at this location. That should have been my first red flag. Arrive today at 10:57am for my daughters birthday at 11am. The rink is dead maybe five employees and a few open hockey people. The party room was not ready!!! So we wait ten minutes while they shuffle us from one room to the other to set one up. We notice the concession stand is not open. We emailed requesting hotdogs for the party so this is red flag two. They stated it was opening at noon. No big deal right we will just do cake and presents and then get the hot dogs at noon when it opens. Well noon arrives they come in and not so politely let us know if we need help cleaning up to come find them. Excuse me? We didn’t get to start until after eleven but your spot on with getting us out of the room. Next the concession stand doesn’t open until 12:50!!!!!!! I go up and ask for the hotdogs and the one person working who couldn’t even take the time to remove her ear buds stated they are out of hot dogs!!!! Seriously this was one giant joke. The skate guard spent the entire time with sitting in the penalty box or sitting on the skate return desk chatting with the other kids that work their. Only one employee was amazing a beautiful young lady with curly hair tried repeatedly to help another birthday mom and myself. Will not be back, will not recommend. We will go to the parks mall and skate before returning here ever. Btw the other birthday party also did not have their food for the party. What...
Read moreStarscenter Mansfield is one of the many Children's health center ice rinks in the Dallas Fort Worth area, providing the community with adult and youth hockey along with figure skating or just regular plain public skating.
Inside the Star Center, there are 2 full NHL size ice rinks. One is named after the famous 1999 Stanley Cup Dallas Stars champion Derian Hatcher and the other after the former Dallas Star Captain Brendan Morrow. The rinks are busy throughout the day with many activities going on, such as youth hockey, adult hockey, and public skating. The best way to find the current schedule for the day is to go on the website and look at what events are happening for the day and month. On the website, they offer a lot of free activities for first-timers, whether it be learning hockey or just even skating on ice. The public skating is 2 hours long, and they provide rental skates at an extra charge. The Mansfield ISD high school also plays hockey here, so it's always great to come out here and support the community. There is a snack bar provided where they sell food and drinks and also have multiple vending machines with ice cold beverages.
Please come and check out this beautiful arena and enjoy your time on the ice, where it is always cooler! I guarantee you will enjoy all the activities provided at this location or any of the multiple locations in the DFW! BE LOUD, WEAR...
Read moreI am so disappointed in the management. I had 7 kids all excited to go skating in public skate today. I have been trying to register since 9am for skating, but the website would not allow me to add participants for each kid, plus I had 2 free skate coupons I wanted to use, which wouldn’t allow me to do on line. I called 4 times and left a message. So the website said they were open so I drove up there at 11am to be sure I figured this out before the 12 o’clock open skate time. I waited for 15 minutes for somebody to open the doors. Finally had to leave since I left my kids home alone. Came back 11:50 to sign Up, and was told I couldn’t sign in unless registered on line! I explained my ordeal, the young man was texting the manager while I stood there waiting and the manager said they can’t help me! I then asked to speak with the manager he was texting and was told I couldn’t! The manager would be back in on Friday....5 days away!? Now I have 7 sad kids...
