Kohl's — Local services in Manteca

The customer service was great at first. Fitting rooms were clean. Cashiers were friendly and quick with ringing up customers but I will not be back. I signed up for a rewards and made a purchase. Moments later I made a second purchase but couldn't use my rewards. I resigned up for another rewards. The woman said I had to return my first purchase and get rung up inorder to get credit for it on the new rewards. I had to walk to Jewelry for the return. The woman in jewelry made the return, then re-rung the purchase. When it was time to put in my phone number for rewards it didnt work. The cashier scanned my card and asked me to put in my email and neither one of those worked. Once again the rewards didn't work and they offered to sign me up for a third rewards. A manager comes and asked if I received and responded to the confirmation email? I say no, because I wasn't aware of such email, nobody told me. I immediately checked and received no email for Kohl's. Then he tells me that I need to wait until tomorrow and or call the number on the card because its the weekend and it might be a glitch in the system. I don't even want the rewards. This was my first time to Kohl's and also my last. I've never been to a store where signing up or redeeming points on a rewards card would be...

The reason for my review is that the cashiers are telling people anything to get them a kohls card. The cashier said "oh this wont run your credit because we arent a bank" girl i work at a financial institution and i have common sense, that isnt how these things work.

the cashiers need to be educated that the card is a HARD CREDIT PULL!!! its not like a gas station rewards card you sign up with your number, why else would you be getting approved or denied???? you could literally ruin someones chance of getting a home with this type of logic being fed to the customers to try to get then 35% off their purchase. pretty disappointed with that. i know you guys need to get your cc sales but that lying to your customers who might be easily trusting is so NOT how you do that.

Went in to drop off an Amazon return. I received a $5 off Kohl coupon so did some impulse shopping. Went to check out at the men's side....no cashiers.....went to the woman's side...there was one cashier and a big line. I did try to wait but finally gave up and just put my would be purchase on one of the empty check stands.....I could see sales/store personal everywhere in the store even at the front by the check stands...but....for some reason they have only one person for the whole store to check out. Why cant all these other people check people out sometimes??? I thought the purpose of the store was to sell things.....to do that you need people in the check stands......There is no 'self checkout' at this store. So it was just impulse buy but it was very...
