If you're thinking about whether you should do it or not, JUST DO IT! And remember, this journey to find a healthier you, has to come from you; because you want it. Then trust and believe that Alex and Ross is going to help you get the rest of the way there to your ultimate health goals. I2 Fitness will take good care of you because they value their relationship with you as well as their reputation.
I also understand that results are important; so incase you don't read the rest of my story about how awesome they are, I want you all to know the impact I2 has had on me. In the 5 weeks that I've been with I2 fitness so far:
I've lost 12 pounds My energy levels has turnt up; I'm dancing again! I'm wearing my clothes again (something other than leggings and sweatpants and baggy clothes). My confidence is returning; I feel beautiful again I've learned to build a healthier relationship with food; I'm not eating my feelings nor am I starving myself. Instead, I'm eating balance and nutritious meals. And the most important is I get to share bits and pieces of this journey with my family. I get to show them that eating healthy doesn't mean eating plain food. And it brings me joy, when I hear them tell me that I've inspired them to make changes in their lives too.
I came from an immigrant family who was never educated about healthy lifestyles. There wasn't a role model or support system in my life to teach me about it either. The first time I ever went to a gym to "workout" was in college. I didn't even know what "working out" meant. But I challenged myself and learned a few things over the years.
The one thing that I needed help with the most was nutrition. And that's where Alex/Ross fills in the gap for. Additionally they also help structure workouts to help you maximized your results without having to spend hours on end at the gym.
I'm 5'1" and was 200 pounds. My health has far deteriorated from when I was 130 pounds. I saw how my body and face slowly became more round. My clothes were fitting tighter and tighter until I had to buy larger sizes. Even my feet seem to have grown a size up. But it wasn't just physically that I've let myself go. My eating habits were horrible. My energy levels tanked.
I work from home, so I was sitting all day long. Then once I was off work, all I wanted to do was lay in bed all night long. I lost interest in all activities because I was so uncomfortable in my own skin.
When I saw the ad for I2 Fitness, I decided to sign up for an appointment slot. I knew I needed to do something about my health, but I just kept putting it off. That ad, was the tipping point for me. It wasn’t like I didn’t have a gym membership before this appointment. I did, I just never went to the gym and no one cared. So I didn’t either.
Signing up was easy, and onboarding was a smooth transition for me as well. Once I signed up, Ross was there every step of the way to help keep me accountable, answer my questions, tailor my meal plans when I need it and made sure I was getting my workouts in. There was a week that I was coming down with a bad cold. Ross show genuine concern and encouraged me to eat nutritious food and light movement to help my recovery. It showed me how extremely supportive he is, and that they will follow through with what they promise to. And that encouraged me to show up for myself.
Anyways, Alex is ball of positivity to be around. His great attitude is so contagious! Ross and Alex are both solution-oriented. Ross is chill, funny, and neither of them have ever shamed me or made me feel bad or embarrassed about my bad habits. They're incredible and both so excited to share and help me build new habits to become who I wanted to be. They created a safe place for me to comfortably open up about my biggest insecurities then develop a plan to help me grow into the person I want to be. Read moreI started coming to this gym after I saw an ad on Instagram. I clicked the ad and filled out the interest form, mostly to convince myself that I’d “probably” start working out “somewhere” as a New Year’s Resolution. To be honest I was expecting to forget about it until Coach Alex messaged me directly - and that was my introduction to the level of attentiveness that you get by coming to this gym. Your specific needs will not be overlooked, and the coaches are very knowledgeable and are very receptive to any and all questions. They’ll often provide alternative options for intensifying or simplifying a particular exercise to account for things like bad knees or personal strength levels, and will frequently offer tips on proper form. They really helped me turn my vague fitness “goals” into a concrete vision of where I want my personal fitness levels to be at.
Plus, a lot of people who come to this gym are in the same boat of starting out on their fitness journey. Even as a super introverted person, I find myself enjoying chatting with everyone (when we’re not out of breath).
