Sierra — Local services in Maple Grove

Sierra "trading post" has gone from a once quality oriented store to now the TJ MAXX/ Marshall's of off-brand or outlet store second quality outdoor sporting goods merchandise.

So you know how Albertville outlet mall sells 1 off quality items of name brand goods like "oh this patch of button up shirts is missing a button, send it to the outlet mall and sell if for 30% off... That's what SIERRA claims to do but marks up the MSRP price then lists a sale price (which is actually the normal price) because the item is never not on sale 365 days a year.

The concept works great, a lot of Americans are really dumb, they fall for this marketing gimmick.

Just know that your not getting a good deal and often times these products or much cheaper quality off brand or sub-par quality name brands sold at a "discount" that's often less then the product would sell in a normal retail setting without...

Sierra is like the funhouse mirror version of REI, where everything is a great deal and you're guaranteed to leave with something you didn't know you needed. Being owned by the same folks as T.J. Maxx, it's got that same thrill-of-the-hunt vibe (I highly value great prices). I even found a volleyball for half the price I paid online just a month ago—a painful but hilarious reminder to always check here first. The store is clean, organized, and the staff are friendly. The line was short while I was there. With plenty of parking and a layout that makes browsing a joy, it’s a dangerous place for your wallet but a great one for your spirit. Ok so if you didn't know, this place is basically TJMAX/Marshalls except only sporting goods stuff. What you expect is exactly what they have - tons of off branded or cheap branded "sporting goods" especially for men that are all 'on sale' now don't get me wrong, I love me a good Marshalls find and I love the thrill of the hunt. I just dont want to see 80 mens hurly board shorts, none of which are my size. Neat. I'll come again. I'll bump it to 5 stars when I find that treasure we're all searching for. In the meantime, I'll watch the clearance...
