Sole Survivor Leather — Local services in Maplewood

For years I have bought items on and off from this local leather shop, a few belts, a jacket or two and a portfolio all with little issue. I enjoyed the portfolio so much I wanted another one. So I ventured in there over 6 months ago to see if they had one that would match with my young son who was in the midst of potty training. First I asked to use a restroom and was told no, I took that on the cheek because some are oblivious to the world others live in and lack empathy. So I moseyed next door to but something just so I could use allow a 3 year old the opportunity not to urinate on a floor and wet himself. That should have been a sign these were no longer the type of humans I want to support, but instead I went against my better judgement and went back. Only to find out they didn’t have the item I was looking for, no biggie. So I but my name on a list 6 months later no call.

With this being said, I think it is time to part ways with this establishment...

I purchased a briefcase yesterday from Sole Survivor that I have had my eye on for a while. The quality of their leather goods is top notch and the attention to detail is unmatched by anything you would by at a big box store. Steve was also very helpful and knowledgeable with this purchase. Can't say enough about this place, was recommended by a friend, went in looking for a custom belt and had this custom fit and made with my Grandfather's old Fire Dept buckle. Huge selection of most things leather and the owner Kay was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and cares about what she does (and it shows in the end product). 100% recommend for all your leather...
