Information for customers who complain about high prices in this exemplary antique shop. I am a customer myself. Antiques in general are old or rare works of art or other valuable things that are objects of collecting and trade. A real antique thing on the world market today costs thousands, tens, hundreds of thousands and very often millions of US dollars. Even VINTAGE goods today deservedly cost a lot, because the sellers of this store found, saved, brought these goods for you, paid rent for the place and believe me, it is sometimes not easy for sellers to part with their goods, they love their goods, but they still sell them to you. Do not look for stupid ones! No one will give you Vintage or especially an antique thing for cheap. The seller has the right to set the price that he or she considers necessary, and complaints about high prices are inappropriate! It is your business to evaluate your budget and make your own decision whether to buy or not to buy. Excellent store, very professionally organized, serious, respectable management. Thanks Owner. Dear Owner, Managers, please do not pay attention to complaints about the prices set by sellers - this is the business of sellers. Believe me, I am an antique lover, antique collector and go to antique stores almost every day and I can state that your Marietta Antique Store has the best prices. Customers, check it out for yourself, instead of complaining about prices, go to stores in Chamblee, Sandy Springs, Midtown or other places...
Read moreMy sister and I were not greeted when we entered although and there were 4 people at the register. When I went to the left of the door they have a lot of "Americana antiques." KKK bill/programs, rebel flags, Jacko the Jocky, a lot of 1940 - 1960 very offensive items for African Americans. I respect history so that didn't offend me as much as when we both walked up to the jewelry counter and were ignored. My sister and I stood there for at least 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. When a woman finally approached me, she asked me what I was interested in. It was my birthday and my sister and I were looking for some vintage pearl earrings. Without blicking, she directed us to the side of the store to the costume jewelry stating this was a more reasonable price for us. My sister and I are both African American professional women. I didn't ask for cheap, I asked for real. When new customers came in they were greated with cheerful hellos. I ended up buying a pair of pearl earrings behind the jewelry counter but felt guilty for spending my money at a place like this. We felt very unwelcome and have...
Read moreI walked in thinking I wouldn’t spend much money or time here, until I realized that every turn I made, there was a new booth I hadn’t seen yet. I easily spent 2 hours here and found some really amazing things for a set design. I bought a glass head, three Greek styled pillars, earrings and a chandelier, all for $150. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Some things are really expensive but I would honestly say it’s worth the price for how beautiful unique, and in well condition a lot of the things are. I had a lot of fun here and I’ll definitely be a regular, a lot of the merchandise is great for props. Thanks for the...
