I resided here last year, moved in late July and moved out this past summer. Throughout the year, my original first good impressions of this complex diminished each month I lived here. I did tour prior to moving in and did love it, but as stated, that changed throughout the year. Amenities? They're cool, minus the pool being closed for maintenance for long periods of time. Environment? Not a terrible location, however, the gate became such an issue overtime. There were times it simply would not open/ be receptive to the key, making one literally have to wait until someone from the complex left, to be able to get in. Other times, it would just flat out be open, in which ANYONE can enter the complex, and to be paying $1200 I'd expect for the security to be just as valuable to mgmt like that price is. My roommate lived there longer than me, and she mentioned the price of rent increasing compared to the year before. You would think they would have made upgrades to increase the price like that, but per her, everything stayed the same, and if anything she said it seemed like mgmt got lazier. Maintenance was okay. It took forever to resolve issues. There was about one time they came in a timely manner. But I was dealing with bugs coming out of my air vents for abouttt 1-2 weeks? I heard from my roommate her friends who resided there too were having similar issues... gross. They claimed to have fixed it when I initially put in a work order, but: I never once got a notification that they had resolved the issue, and to add onto that, there were still bugs coming out of the vent! I would find them on my bed, on my ceiling, walls. Bug killing became incorporated into my night routine because who wants to sleep in a room knowing they're actively crawling around. I put in 2 more work orders for this until it was finally resolved. Also, literally be sure to not leave any lights on, when i tell you they are QUICK to charge you for that electricity. During finals month, I had to stay up late studying, so of course I had my desk lamp on. I got charged $67 extra for that month. God forbid a girl has to stay up late and study for her degree. Probably would be a good idea to invest in some candles or a lantern like the 1800s to avoid these charges. Additionally, when they were redoing the floors in our apartment due to previous tenant's damage, my roommate was out of town (as was i), they left her bathroom light on all day for 2 days until she came back from her trip to finally turn it off. And yes she did get charged and had to pay when it was not even her own doing. Lastlyyy, there was an incident where students from Life were having a club meeting in the common area in the leasing office. An officer who lived there (not sure if he still does) pulled his gun on these students to get them to leave (as if there were not other prior club meetings that had already taken place there multiple times before?). Almost forgot! I saw residents having sex on the balcony at midnight one time so there's that too. Wish I could make it up.

Read moreI have been living here for a year now and hereâs my full review⌠A couple problemsâŚ
The gate. Whatâs the point of having a gate if it gets broken ALL THE TIME? itâs kinda ridiculous especially for the price we pay in rent. Marietta, especially next to the beacon is not the safest place so a gate makes you feel some kinda comfortably and safety.
The common space. The one reason I choose this apartment is because I have the luxury of getting my packages after class/ after work and when itâs convenient for ME. Right but the community center is closed ALL DAY Sunday and at 6pm Friday through Saturday. As a busy real estate agent who gets TONS of packages itâs really inconvenientâŚ
The pool Yall itâs the middle of July⌠itâs hitting almost 100 degrees everyday and yâallâs pool is âshut down for maintenanceâ⌠okay if itâs shut down for maintenance then WHERE is the maintenance. I pass by that pool everyday and see that NOTHING is being done and itâs just getting greener and greener and dirtier and dirtier by the day. Whatâs the point of having a pool if itâs gonna be shut down when itâs most convenient for people and on top of that NOT be fixed.
Trash If the compactor for the trash can is not working then doesnât it just make sense to call a company to come and take it out? ESPECIALLY with how much we pay for rent? On a serious note this is disgusting and itâs going to attract to many problems and bugs like cockroaches, mice and rats.
All in all the only reason why it gets an extra star is because itâs close to KSU the marietta campus and 10 mins away from the battery.
UPDATE: the pool has been closed for a month now. this is absolutely...
