The recipe for the "signature" stuffed mushrooms, (as listed on the menu), has changed. The mushrooms are now served in a pool of alfredo sauce. This did 2 things...it filled the serving dish which made it look like you were getting a filled dish, and it allowed for much smaller mushrooms to be used. Consequently, because of this method, it's obvious that six small raw white button mushrooms were placed in the pool of sauce, topped with stuffing mix and a little cheese, then placed under the broiler. This prevents the mushrooms from being cooked and the umami flavor of portabella mushrooms to infuse with the stuffing and cheese, which is the signature flavor. This was greatly dissatisfying and I will not order again.
Coconut shrimp was excellent.
The dragon calamari was slightly on the salty side. Enough so that I limited what I consumed.
Crab legs were excellent.
Scallops could have used about 30 seconds more in searing.
Lobster tails were on the tough rubbery side.
All in all, not bad, but over priced for what was received.
Ticket came to 135 for 3 appetizers, one lobster tail meal with added scallops and 1/2 pound snow crab, and a cocktail. This should not have been more than $85 for...
Read moreSo, I'm from New England and I know my lobster. Red Lobster, in an effort to save time is TURBO STEAMING their lobsters. That is NOT how to properly cook a lobster and that is why many people think lobster is rubbery. Turbo steaming gets the temperature too high and scorches the shell, overcooking the meat, thats why it comes out darker than the typical bright red you see when you boil lobster. What Red Lobster is doing is an insult and abomination to every lobster man who has ever fished the North Atlantic. I rarely give a bad review or posting and instead will keep my mouth shut but this is an exception. I returned three lobsters in one night, all overcooked. Asked how they were cooking them, saying "I mean how hard is it to boil a lobster?" I then wrote Red Lobster corporate about the practice. They very graciously gave me a gift card but I'm sure they did nothing to correct this shortcut method. If you pay $30 for a Maine Lobster, it ought to at least be cooked correctly. Perhaps this practice will turn people off to lobster, since this is the only place many Americans outside New England ever try lobster, and that will leave more for New Englanders to cook and eat...
Read moreEverything was straight trash I have a picture and everything of our food I dont reccomend at all. Wet wipes were dry the crab we ordered was cold and definitely not the 1 lb we ordered. The mashed potatoes were literally hard, the brocolli came out relatively hard and cold like they havent been steamed at all. Me and my mom both ordered the broccoli and it came like that. All three of us ordered the potatoes and it came like that. 2 of us ordered the crab. The desert we received was extremely small, the salad was literally wilted. We asked for a booth and the main person literally sat us at a table anyways. We asked for a booth again and she sat us at a partial booth. We were one of the only people in the entire building. The beer we ordered was hot, the only good thing here was the waiter. He was constantly checking up on us. I didnt want to seem rude so I told the people up front the problems we were having and they offered no solution at all. I wasted about 80 dollars on food I didn't even get to eat. I wish I could post a picture of what we received but the site wont let me. I know they dont care about their customers but I definitely wont be...
