I would highly recommend Casa D'Oro to anyone in the market for a luxury timepiece. First off, the selection of wrist watches is unrivaled in my opinion to any jewelry store I have ever been to. Second, prices are extremely competitive. And, during special events, you will not beat prices at any retail shop. Also, because Casa D'Oro is a authorized retailer, all stock can be guaranteed authentic unlike many online sites. They also host regular events that are fun to attend (i.e. Tequila & Timpieces) and where one has an ability to get to know the staff on a more personal level. Lastly, all staff has been extremely welcoming and accomodating. I have personally dealt with both the owner, Rezza, and also Chad. Rezza was very eager to show me the "best deals" during a watch savings event and provided his own taste/opinion when I was on the fence about two different pieces. And, he seemed genuinely concerned about ensuring I purchased the watch I liked best and making sure I was satisfied over making a sale. Chad was also extremely helpful leading up to my watch purchase as he put in a lot of extra effort via email concerning a watch trade while also informing me of upcoming events that offerred extra savings. Chad is both very knowledgable about timepieces in general while also being aware and educated on the product he is selling. This was another large selling point for me as I felt extrmely comfortable and confident shopping at Casa D'Oro. Chad is also knowledgeable about the entire watch market providing him the ability to find high quality used timepieces for customers as well if interested. Needless to say, this will not be my last shopping experience with at Casa D'Oro. And, I would be entirely confident dealing with Chad or Rezza in the future. I already have another timepiece on my radar and have talked with Chad who I am confident will find me a great deal in a used timepiece when I decide to pull the trigger again. So, if you are in the market for either a new or used luxury timepiece at a good price, stop by Casa D'Oro. You will be...
Read moreLong review but important to share. The center diamond in my engagement ring was loose so I took it to Casa d Oro for repair. They told me the prongs were bad and gave me a cost of $330 to repair. Ten days after getting it back from repairs I looked down and noticed the stone was gone. When we reached out to Reza he accepted no blame. Instead, he said it was an accident and I somehow pushed the stone out of the new mounting. I’ve been wearing the ring for over 30 years and can’t recall ever doing anything that would result in dislodging a diamond mounted in a ring, let alone in the past 10 days. And right after being repaired! But Reza stuck to his story and his culpability was nil. He did offer to show me some diamonds at cost, but nothing he showed me aligned with my wants and one didn’t even have a GIA certificate but instead had the less desirable, inferior European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) certificate. Plus, he was going to charge me another $380 to mount the new diamond (on top of what I just paid for the repairs) and that just didn’t sit well with me.
I purchased a diamond elsewhere.
When I took my newly purchased stone to another local jeweler to mount into the ring it was fairly obvious to them that whoever repaired my prongs did not sauder them correctly and skipped the final heating step necessary to harden the materials. If not done (or forgotten?), the material would be so brittle any tiny bump would make it crumble, as I was told by the jeweler.
Nice people work in the store but I would never recommend them simply because the refusal of taking ownership of faulty work.
If you are wanting to partner with someone you trust this is not your store. That dishonesty, coupled with unwillingness to accept any blame or responsibility, is enough deterrent for me to ever do business with them again. I went in for a $300 repair and it cost...
Read moreIt was only because of an odd set of circumstances that would bring me to the Casa D’Oro store. And ultimately, I’m very pleased with the way things turned out. To elaborate, I had traveled nearly 600 miles from southern Wisconsin to participate in a race at Pittsburgh Int’l. Race Complex. The last race of the season, with the championship at stake on this one last race.
I had no prior knowledge of, nor experience with Casa D’Oro, before arriving in town, nor did I have any intention at the time, to make a significant purchase, but stepped into the store because it was connected to the hotel I was staying at for the weekend. And also, out of shear curiosity for a very particular and unique watch that I had been searching for.
For quite some time, I had been looking for the OMEGA Seamaster 300M 007 edition watch, without any success. Was very pleased to find that Casa D’oro actually had one in stock- along with a nice collection of other Omega watches. Was met by sales staff Lisa Poffenberger, who took genuine interest in my circumstances and story, and realized that my focus was really on racing that weekend, and not on purchasing a luxury watch. Recognizing that, and the limited availability of this particular watch, Lisa provided an arrangement that allowed me the ability to focus on my event for the weekend, without the fear of losing the chance to purchase the watch.
I did ultimately purchase the watch at the conclusion of the race weekend. My decision to purchase the watch was because of the excellent customer service and inventory on hand at Casa D’Oro. And in particular, because of sales staff Lisa Poffenberger, who made the whole process of buying my first luxury watch, such an easy and wonderful experience. I would definitely do business again with Lisa...
