Talbots — Local services in Mashpee

In the past, I have not had great experiences at the Mashpee Talbots store. It being Christmas season, I decided to give them a chance and order something online for store pick up. Although I had not received confirmation that I could pick up my order, I was in the area and it was the only time I could be in the area so I stopped in to see if I could get it. The store could not find any record of my order as it had not been processed. I asked for them to cancel it and they said that it wasn’t on my credit card yet so I didn’t have to worry about that. I would be charged when the order was completed. When I got home, I checked my online banking and I was indeed charged for the order. I also asked about picking out the items myself and asked where they might be and the manager gesture off a directions saying over there somewhere, I’m not exactly sure. When I got home, I checked my online banking and I was indeed charged for the order. I called the store and was told I needed to talk to Talbots directly about canceling the order. I called Talbots and was on hold for 20 minutes and spoke to a gentleman who said he’d be right back with me. After an additional 10 minutes on hold, he came back on the line and said can you hear me? I said yes and he hung up. So I decided I would try online chat to cancel my order and I was told that I could not based on the status of my order and was told to call the store. I explained that the store said that I had to speak to Talbots directly. The order is still on my credit card and after this wonderful experience, I will not be shopping at...

Just walked away from $300-$400 in purchases to avoid "Deidra" getting one ounce of credit for the sale. She was rude beyond belief. First - I had to ask for assistance, not something I would expect at Talbots since I was one of two customers. Then, when I came out of the dressing room (in Talbots clothes) to see if she was able to find something I had asked her for, she lectured me with " Sometimes you just have to give us a chance." Even the cashier was appalled. I left my would be purchases behind and will not be back to Talbots at Mashpee Commons... which is a shame because Talbots is pretty much all I wear. :(

Update, just bought what I needed at Talbots Cape Cod Mall - and what a delight the women there were!! Highly recommend the Mall's...

Absolutely love it! My teachers are ALWAYS complimenting my outfits. I wouldn’t want to buy my slacks from anywhere else. My friends think it’s silly, but Talbots makes up 85% of my high school senior year wardrobe. I recently purchased a shirt that says Paris on it. I can’t wait to wear it to France when I visit!
