My experience started off well with the sales rep who placed our order on line with us (in the store). We ordered 4 kitchen appliances to be delivered to our new home. A date was picked and when it got closer to that date I called to talk to someone about it. I was told my someone in appliances I didn’t have an order cause it was cancelled. I didn’t cancel it and was told sorry about that. I said not good enough give me someone who could Help me. I was connected with Taunya and she looked Into the matter for me. No one knows why it was cancelled but she tried to fix the problem as much as she could. The damage was done but Taunya gave good customer Service and tried to fix the problem going forward. The delivery was set and paid for installation. However when the delivery guys dropped the appliances off they just left it in the kitchen with no installation! It was not on the paperwork for installation . ANOTHER ball Dropped from Home Depot! I am So disappointed in the lack of service they state to have. The only good experience I had was with the employee Taunya. She gave wonderful customer service and did everything she could To try to make it right. It didn’t get my appliances to me on time or installed but she was able to smooth out the rough edges. I don’t know her title but she should be in charge of customer service. The other encounters I had were with employees who didn’t care to look into the problems. It’s a big deal when you’re moving and major appliances get cancelled for no reason. In addition when you’re expecting it to be installed and they just leave it in the kitchen useless that’s another red flag! I had to pay my Contractor to install it when I shouldn’t have had to do that. Not happy with my experience. However, it’s done and over with but I want people to know of the problems because it’s a real big deal to people who have families. I was counting on home Depot to follow through on their promises to provide excellent services. This includes having appliances to be able to feed my family. Read moredale did a fantastic job selling me what i wanted, he listened and answered all the questions that we had and we purchased a whirlpool duet washer and dryer. the problem started 2 days before delivery when we find out the dryer is on back order well at the time of purchase it was not. went back to the store and we were refunded the and then sold the floor models with 10% off each unit, which were the same ones that we had originally ordered. and they were scheduled to be delivered the very next day march 7th after countless phone calls back to the store and not having anything delivered by 4pm called back to find out the box truck had been rented out. and they wont be delivering until the next day Saturday the 8th at 8:30 am. buying a washer and dryer shouldn't be this stressful. and the communication between Shelby and manage Dustin should have been better. Shelby said regardless we would have the delivery March 7th. Dustin was very helpful when i personally spoke with him Thursday evening and he was in charge of the delivery for March 7th but when i spoke with him on the phone Friday afternoon when he said that the box truck was rented he said that he was not aware of the delivery until 2pm that day. which im sorry but he knew the day before when i was in and spoke to him directly about refund issues. i have purchased many things in the past at this store and had never had an issues with anything until this. the communication between the staff and customers needs to improve. We did not spend over 1600 (original price of first unit) for lake of communication... overall this last experience will make us reconsider having another purchase from home...
Read moreI am torn how to rate this store. I like the store and prices, but their kitchen cabinet Business is an utter joke. We ordered ~$20,000 in cabinets it takes 5 weeks to get them delivered, no big deal just order them early. 5 of roughly 40 pieces came in damaged or poorly constructed. So we ordered replacements. Those also take 5 weeks to get delivered. I was not allowed to contact the cabinet company directly to arrange other modes of shipping or anything. Finally when all of our cabinets were installed we tried to get our counter tops ordered. They were already paid for 4 months prior. It took another 4 weeks to get the counter tops. When they were installed the company didn't cut faucet holes and refused to cut our kitchen sink out because "that wasn't in the contract with home depot". I couldn't resolve this with the countertop company, I had to go through home depot.
It has now been 4 months since my cabinets/countertops were ordered, 7 months since they were paid for, and they still aren't done. That is 3 months worth of interest payments I have had to make on this construction loan because this company cannot get their ducks in a row to get things installed.
If you can find someone local to do your cabinets/countertops do so, mine have cost 20% more than what we paid...
