You have to PONDER and consider if you in the mood to eat at PONDEROSA. This particular location wasn't the greatest. Currently, they have a 2 for 1 special costing $23.99. Not a bad deal until you get your meal that looks more like an appetizer size meal. The salad bar was average but could have been alot better! If wanting a salad, you should be able to select GREEN not white or yellow lettuce. The pineapples tasted as if came out of a can. The sweet potato fries was perfect. For those who like to eat ANYTHING without being particular then this place is for you. However, this location will not be visited again. The ONLY commendation is that they are strict in food handling. Before handling food at the salad bar, you must first sanitize hands and then put on the plastic glove provided. Each time you wish to return to the salad bar, a new glove, plate, and fork is provided. Masks are required and are only to be removed when literally...
Read moreThe lady’s restroom was extremely dirty and smelled awful. The sinks were dirt brown everywhere and you could see the dirt streaks. There was no paper to dry your hands in the sink nor anywhere around. But the toilets were much horrible, wet and paper all over the top and sides, on the floor.. it was DISGUSTING and I had to walk away. This place I thought of calling the health department. I can’t believe what I saw. I told an employee and he called someone and said “the ladies bathroom is dirty again”..(!) I never thought I would see this in a Ponderosa! The bathrooms are cleaner in all the fast food business around here and I still avoid them because they are never well cleaned. I only go to wash my hands before eating. I would have walked out if I had not already paid my lunch. I wish I had taken photos but when I thought about doing it there seem to be someone in there and I did not want to go...
Read moreOut of fond memories we came to eat here only to find the ruins of a once great buffet. Certainly not worth the price. Save your money and drive the ten minutes to Sizzler, which is one of the best ones in Puerto Rico. The salad bar has been reduced to have items duplicated on both lines, very few hot options and soup was old and inedible. The ice cream machine no longer works, yet two places in the salad bar have sprinkles and broken Oreos, which just irritated by constantly reminding the kids of the missing dessert. The nail on the coffin was the service. No refills, no clearing the table, in fact we don't recall seeing anyone but the cashier. This was a regretful stop. ...
