I visit this store anywhere from a couple of times a day to once a month depending on my needs. In the past, I’ve provided some unflattering but honest feedback on my customer surveys. In recent history, I really feel that the frustrations I expressed were addressed and resolved, making me feel valued as a customer. I feel that things have gotten so much better throughout the entire store but especially at the return counter now that the curbside pickup option is available (which is also amazing and very fast). I used to have a lot of online orders that needed to be picked up at the returns desk and it was all chaos all of the time with no clear indication of which line to stand in, numerous shoppers frustrated with long checkout lines doing their checkout there and customers making returns! All of my visits over the past couple of months (maybe 20), have been great! The self checkout lines are well organized and staffed with employees to assist those that are struggling. There are employees to help guide people into the lines. And, best of all, the customer service/returns desk is actually able to serve its very important purpose to customers who should not be competing with shoppers! I have had to do a couple of returns recently and the cashiers were very friendly and attentive! One employee in the return department, Christina Marie went above and beyond to assist me with what was a bit of a stressful return for me. Upon telling her that I planned to write her an amazing review, she made sure to provide me with the name of the name of the other cashier, Mirelys Vazquez who was very attentive to me as well! They both deserve special recognition! The associates throughout the store seem to be making a concentrated effort to be more helpful also! I was struggling recently with purchasing a trimmer for my yard after realizing that I need to do more than just mow. I could never have made the decision without the help of an associate. Fortunately, I saw an employee named Juan giving such detailed and knowledgeable instructions to another shopper that impressed me so much that I decided to wait for him to finish and then requested his assistance. He went above and beyond by taking the trimmer apart and demonstrating how to add more line to the trimmer head. He even allowed me to try it on my own to make sure I had a clear understanding of it! Read moreI was very frustrated with painting department today Wednesday first week of December, there at the painting counter. After spending long hours looking at all favorite Behr color chart., the associate came up with a wrong color! I tried to tell this guy that the color he prepared didn’t match with the Behr color chart and it didn’t. IM STILL SO MAD AND UPSET! I was the very last customer spending hours trying my best to buy this Behr waterproof sealing with very Bright beautiful color, but unfortunately by last 45 minutes before the store close, the assistance manager was giving me hard times and REFUSED TO PREPARE ANOTHER CAN FOR ME., he knew I needed the Behr paint for tomorrow’s work , I needed the pain for next day, no other option in my agenda ; I’ve told him I had the right to be satisfied as a customer, he was careless, the attitude of the assistant manager was ineffective and caused me a huge dissatisfaction ., then I told him I would give 0 for a review and his response was “ yes ma’am you have the right to give Home Depot a cero”. WOW! I can’t believe Home Depot employee having a position as assistance manager would say a crazy expression to a good customer., because IM A GREAT CUSTOMER OF HOME DEPOT AND I have been for long RUN!!!! But even worse this guy employee was counting time and because he was refusing customer satisfaction, he thought he will be winning his poor quality control in customer satisfaction then he decided to change his attitude in the las 20 Minutes before store closed for the day and he said to me “ MA’ AM TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT” HE FORCED ME TO TAKE HOME A UGLY PAIN COLOR OF PAINT THAT COST ME lots of money; even thou the customer service counter told me to make sure I go back to the paint counter and request right mix before check out and be sure I’m happy with the product , this time have the right color just because there is no refund for such paint. This guy basically forced me to buy the wrong color because the store were going to close! I WONDER WHY A SUPER MEGA STORE LIKE HOME DEPOT IS HAVING THIS KIND OF WRONG PEOPLE WORKING IN THERE DOING WRONG PRACTICES IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! I DEFINITELY WILL TAKE THIS CASE EVEN HIGHER. Read moreI purchased a pressure washer from Home Depot and I also purchase their Asurion protection plan. After using the pressure washer once, it broke down, so I thought that would be Ok given that I had purchased their protection plan. How wrong!!!!
Home Depot subcontracts their product repairs to a company called MAKE Technologies. This company has been trying to fix my equipment for the last 3 weeks. I called last week to learn about the status of my equipment and they told me that they were waiting for some parts and that the product should be ready this week. I called today and they told me that the parts have not arrived and they started to tell me that they were expecting the parts and the fix to be completed by next week... when I confronted them with the fact that this was the same story they gave me last week, they accepted the fact that they DON´T KNOW when the parts will arrive and that they cannot commit to a specific date to fix my equipment. I could be days, weeks or months... they had the nerve to ask me to wait patiently for the parts to arrive. In the meantime, I´ve waited 3 WEEKS for this equipment so I can fix some leaks in my roof and they expect me to wait indefinitely until they get the parts and can fix the equipment at their leisure.
I called Home Depot directly to make them aware of this situation and they told me that I am on my own and I have to wait for their service provider to fix the equipment at their leisure... Once you spend your money with Home Depot, you ARE ON...
