Grab Your Popcorn bc this is going to be a hell of a review. If I could give ZERO stars, I absolutely would. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a fast food restaurant, and unless something changes, it will be my last visit to this location. Corporate needs to take a serious look at the management and operations going on here , because something is clearly broken.
When I walked in, I immediately sensed something was wrong. The line was long and clearly not moving. The customers ahead of me looked like they had already been waiting for quite some time. After standing in line for about five minutes without any progress, an employee casually announced, “We’ll get to everyone soon.” Meanwhile, the drive-thru had no cars — so who exactly were they attending to?
After TWENTY minutes of waiting in line (and yes, still waiting), an employee casually walked up and stood near the line. A few minutes later, she cut ahead and stood directly behind me. I assumed she was doing something work-related, so I even offered to let her go ahead, only to realize she was placing a personal order to take home while on the clock. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
When I finally made it to the register, I was helped by an employee I believe was named Frankie. He was respectful and helpful, the one bright spot in this experience. He assisted me with an expired coupon (Bc of the long wait )and made sure I still got the discount. That level of service should be standard; unfortunately, he seemed to be the only one working with that attitude.
But then came the receipt issue ; and this is where it gets shady. I noticed Frankie placed my receipt in a side basket, which I didn’t think much of at the time. But after we finished eating and I returned to request my ice cream (which I had asked to be served after), I also asked for a receipt covering both of my orders. Frankie went to the manager ,I believe her name was Bianchi ,and things took a turn.
Instead of simply handing over the receipt, Bianchi gave Frankie attitude, looked at me with what can only be described as pure hostility, and refused to give him the original receipt ,insisting on a reprint. Frankie, to his credit, even said, “Wouldn’t it be easier to just give the one that’s right there?” She shot him down immediately and pointed at the screen like he had asked a ridiculous question.
It was hard not to feel like they were deliberately avoiding handing out original receipts ; and not just for me. I noticed other customers weren’t receiving theirs either. It gives the impression that they’re trying to hide something or avoid accountability, maybe even prevent complaints from being filed.
To make matters more frustrating, Frankie presented my ice cream with the best presentation I’ve ever seen at a Burger King ;genuinely impressive. I didn’t even get a photo, I was so surprised. Unfortunately, I was told I could only get a receipt for one of my two transactions.
Overall, this visit was a complete mess: long wait times, disorganized service, employees placing personal orders during rush hour, and shady behavior around receipts. Frankie did his best, but clearly he’s not being supported by competent leadership.
This needs corporate attention. A full review of management and store operations is overdue. This experience was unacceptable and does not represent what the Burger King brand should stand for. To make matters worse, I paid $10.99 for a chicken salad that was a complete joke; the chicken wasn’t even fully cut, just barely sliced like an accordion (am I eating a mango or a meal?), and the portion was so small I had to go to the supermarket afterward to actually get a proper lunch, and funny enough, they had a better-made chicken salad for only $7.99, with fresh ingredients and a full serving of protein.
Before you spend any money at this location, I suggest you visit the supermarket “Pueblo” in this plaza. Head to the deli section and find yourself an affordable and flavorful meal without...
Read moreBest Burger King I've visited in many years. They got my order right but the guy before me as they were busy . This was in Mayaguez Puerto Rico. Very clean, great staff had everything plus more. Food is very good here, staff is very humble, helpful, friendly. Fully staffed. Best fastfood experience I've had compared to the States. Never seen a fastfood so perfectly in sync like this in the mainland in many, many years. All the US stores here remind of the 80s & 90s when ppl cared. Felt like I went back in time with all modern technology. The way it should be. They need to take lessons from these franchises down on this island, I swear....

The only reason that I didn't give them a 5 Star rating is because they have a leak in the roof near the cash register that is...
