UPDATE: Changing my 1 star review to 5 stars. We got a call from Judy, she was nothing but apologetic. Her and Betsy handled the situation quickly and kept us informed on what was happening. This employee no longer works for them. Me and my family appreciate that they didnāt take this situation lightly and it was a zero tolerance response for them. Itās not an easy situation to deal with, especially when itās not easy to find reliable employees these days. We will most definitely continue coming into 44 Degrees North and recommend it to our family and friends who are visiting. Thank you Judy and Betsy for your professionalism and understanding of an unfortunate but sensitive incident.
Original Post: I love this store and the products in it. Itās always been one of my favorites to take friends and family who visit. But today my family had a very upsetting experience with the cashier working around 2:00. I live in Cascade, my family came up week to enjoy our beautiful Valley County. We had lunch and decided to stop at a couple shops. While stopping into 44 North, my mom and sister were looking at earrings. My brother in-law was with them at first. He walked out of the store to check out the shop next door and then walked back into 44 North while my mom and sister finished up their shopping. As soon as he walked in he was immediately passively accused of stealing earrings off the stand by the cashier working. My mom said that it definitely wasnāt them and that itās sad anyone would do that. My mom explained she had moved some of the earrings around so maybe thatās why it looked like that. The cashier replied āwell you never know with some peopleā. My mom didnāt register her comment, but my sister and her husband were extremely upset by this. My brother in-law is a tall black man. I, unfortunately, didnāt find out about this interaction until we were in the vehicle back to Cascade. My sister and her husband are moving here once my sister is out of the Air Force. They have a beautiful baby girl and another one on the way. Iāve done nothing but talk our Valley County up. How safe, how beautiful and how nice the people are here. Itās really disappointing to run across this kind of behavior by someone who is running the store, one of our favorite stores. Iāve been stewing on this all afternoon. The receipt from the earrings purchased says Sherilyn. If thatās your name, and you were the one to treat my family this way⦠shame on you for making my family feel so uncomfortable. Not one of them deserved any of that. I hope whatever your problem was today, you figure it out. That kind of attitude shouldnāt be...

We accidentally threw a bag into the trash can in front of their store that contained a brand new hat my nephew just bought at Winter Carnival. By the time we realized it we were already down the road. We called and they fished it out of the trash. The following day the store owner's daughter was coming to Boise and brought it to us on her way. Who does that anymore?? If you stop by, mention the story and say thanks for us. Sure they would appreciate the...
