Lago Chapala Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in McCall

I think this was the worst service and food I have ever eaten. From the moment we arrived, everyone from the young male host, to the person who took us to our table, to the older lady who took our order, to the man who brought us our food and checks were unbelievably rude.  They obviously did not want us there and it felt like we were putting them out vs. supporting their business. Our alcoholic drinks were completely watered down and not what we ordered, so we didn't even drink them. I ordered chicken enchiladas.  One had slimy dark chicken in it and the other one had strips of unseasoned strip chicken (for fajitas) and I couldn't eat them. It was as if they ran out of chicken and just put in whatever chicken they had left over. One of my friends ordered the chimichangas and she took one bite and didn't finish. My other friend ordered the taco/enchilada combo and ate half her taco. Looking back, I wish we would have sent our food and drinks back, refuse to pay and gone somewhere else. What a waste of money. So disappointing that they have this great space on the lake. Whomever leases them the space should get someone else in there who cares about providing good service to customers. We will never...

Ok so the setting itself was pretty great but the people working there were horrible I had been given a gift certificate for this place well two of them both had different writing on them on said copy at the bottom nothing was explained when my friend gave them to me just that she was moving and wouldn’t be able to use them before she did so I decided to take my family and try this place now 30$ off isn’t really much when a plate of food there is about 22$ so I have a family of six and spent waaaaayyyy more then that but when we presented them with the gift certificate they insulted my husband by accusing him of forging the one that said copy and were pretty rude during the first part of the experience the food was really bland lacking flavor all they had to say was hey guys this isn’t a valid ticket and it would have been all good we still would’ve paid and did pay for our food and left a good tip js had a horrible experience for the first time eating in McCall and won’t ever return here again and to anyone who has a gift certificate beware cashing them in they do not take kindly to that js I’m being nice giving them any stars at all just for their rudeness it was totally uncalled for...

We put our name on their waiting list and stood out in the hall waiting for more than 45 minutes. When the girl called our name, I walked up to the podium, and she walked away. She ignored me for at least 10 minutes, then when she asked what I wanted I told her she had called me and she said I didn't come when she called me. That is a lie. The hall was packed with people, so it took me a minute to get up to the front, and then she ignored me when I got there. She then told me we'd be next, and we watched almost the entire hallway go in before we ever got called. I'm talking like 11 different groups! This is absolutely ridiculous! We had two hungry kid's who are getting restless and tired, and this girl just stands there giving us dirty looks every time she calls another group. I love this place and come here every time we are in town, we even know the owner from the Boise location years ago, but after this, we won't be back. It's sad the way we were treated and the fact that it ruined our entire groups view of this place. Especially since the girl said she was the owners daughter.
