Center Market — Local services in McMinnville

I love this little market; it's conveniently located next to my bank, Wells Fargo and is a quick stop to pick up fountain soda. Love the owners, husband and wife.

And! They sell Captain Black Cherry Pipe tobacco, the kind my father used to smoke in his pipe! Even though I'm not a smoker, sometimes I just sprinkle a couple tablespoons in a mixture of water over a tea light or as potpourri--and the memories of my dad come flooding back--my dad had a quirk,

--When he smoked a pipe he was relaxed. patient, content, ask him anything and he'd say, "yes!" --When he took the time to light a cigar, his mood was "iffy," ask him anything and you could get a yes or a no! --When he lit a cigarette, quick, fast, stay out of his way, he had not patience and he'd always say, "NO!"

BTW, he used to be a dentist here in town, Dr. LJ Whalon... some may...

Normally the gentleman that owns this market is friendly and helpful. NOT THE CASE with the lady that was working tonight. RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!! She wouldnt answer the one and only question I had, because "Its busy in the drive thru and you need to hurry up. I don't have time to answer your question. " AND then she wouldnt even give me my free lighter, with purchase. I HIGHLY suggest patronizing another business, if this is how they are treating paying customers. I'm a customer, just like those in the drive thru, and my money is just as good as theirs. In my opinion, anyway. I was absolutely floored that she would speak/treat a customer SO SO POORLY!! Shame shame...

went through drive-thru to get cigarettes because they were $5.99 on the sign outside bought five packs look at the receipt and the total was not what it should have been , it showed that she charged me $6.25 per pack. when I went back into the store to ask her about this she said it was not her error because they are no longer that price and her husband hasn't taken down the sign despite her many attempts to tell him to do so. and she wouldn't make it right with me. I understand it's like a $1.25 but that adds up it's illegal to put a sign out that says the price of something and then charge more and that woman is always rude to me when I go...
