Hotel Oregon Rooftop Bar — Hotel in McMinnville

To say I enjoy McMenamins is an understatement, this trip was Not good though. Three different points: Beds are small and Very uncomfortable, kinda like your first bed as a kid, spring mattress and squeaky (I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and waited for another room to confirm this bed as a norm). And if I’m paying over $100 for a room-per night, I expect a lot more than what I got. Next point, Maybe if all of the bars were open this hotel would be worth more, but only having two open bars (and not even open for breakfast-besides room service-but we don’t have a table, where would I eat?) how are you justifying asking so much for a very uncomfortable hotel stay? Last issue. We sat on the rooftop bar on a slower later (8pm reservation) Monday evening and before sitting down we ordered decaf coffee. Our server said they didn’t have decaf upstairs only regular. We had decaf yesterday, that our server said she’d make fresh (which we appreciated) “because it’s probably from 11 this morning.” So we knew it was possible. We told her this. She then said she can ask and it might be 15 minutes. It takes a maximum of 6 minutes to grind and brew coffee. We got our coffee at 8:52, it took almost an hour to get our decaf...which is what we came for. And it was still put on our bill. Our server was sweet. But our service was awful. Lacking in timing. Refills. Attentiveness. No forks? No napkins. Terrible. (Our service yesterday was roughly the same-waited over an hour for our food-but we appreciated our server warning us at least.)

Over all, we will never stay here again. And only perhaps come for a brew....

Just here waiting for the Rooftop bar to open so we can stamp our passports. Tthere is no alternative clue to find to finish out the page. So we're stuck wandering around McMinnville until we can move on to the next stop. It's just too far out of the way for us to come back this trip. Never had an issue getting all the stamps last trip even though we were here at the same...

Beautiful 360 degree views of McMinville. Bartender made us some delicious cocktails with fresh squeezed juice. You can order food and eat on the patio but we didn’t...
