I never write reviews because I give companies and staff the benefit of the doubt for an off day. But this has got to be the worst customer service and “organization” ever. I made an appointment to get the back of my iPhone fixed since I live 3 hours away and they were taking walk in over the appointments. I asked them if they’d be able to get my phone done today he said as long as no walk ins come in to get their devices fixed. I made an appointment for what? I digress. I came back to get my phone back she had told me they snapped off the whole front screen of my phone and handed me my phone factory reset and my SIM card deleted and couldn’t even replace my glass screen protector. They proceeded to tell us I signed a waiver and they can’t do anything about it and go to my carrier. Which was closed at the time and I live 3 hours away. If I was alone I would not have been able to get home without a gps. They basically said figure it out with your carrier leave. Thankfully my carrier stayed late to help and had to assign me a whole new SIM card and they gave me a free screen protector because they felt so and for me and the situation. Now that’s real customer service. If you can avoid going here I’d do so. Not worth the stress and time. I’ll buy a whole new phone before ever getting “help” from them again. They couldn’t even come out to help resolve anything they hid in the back while the Best Buy employees were trying to help when it’s not even their business or department. Best Buy should just get rid of them...
Read moreOne of the poorest computer tech customer care service experiences I've ever had was with Geek Squad at Best Buy. The tech spent a few minutes on my computer and told me to do a factory reset which would wipe out everything including the hard drive on my computer. He told me this even before properly diagnosing it. Told me how to do a factory reset at home. He was very cavalier about it and seemed distracted. I went home and discovered it was totally unnecessary. Got a second opinion and found out that wiping out everything on my computer would have been unnecessary and destructive. It ended up being a simple problem and was fixed easily. To boot, I relayed my story to the manager of Geek Squad and he said it was "standard procedure". I found out this wasn't true at all. He was also defensive. In other words, he was rude and dishonest. Maybe he was covering for what happened instead of offering better service. Just don't bother going to this place. Find some techs who will take the time and care and be...
Read moreThey'll make up whatever technical jargon they have to make up to convince you to purchase expensive replacement parts you don't actually need and then after the 5th time you bring them your (still broken) computer, they'll just recommend you purchase another one.
Well I still have the same one and it works fine, so...
they're either stupid, or they're thieves, or both.
They keep their scam running by rotating staff every day. So chances are, the person you see after the first attempt to fix computer fails will have to start all over again yet magically come up with a different diagnosis which they just so happen to have a solution for since they work in an electronics store. Wow, that's so convenient and not at...
