If you live in Medford, be aware—your safety is not their priority
I am extremely disappointed with the City of Medford’s negligence and lack of accountability. On June 30, 2024, I was involved in a severe accident due to an open, unmarked manhole that the city failed to properly maintain. My car was totaled, leaving me with $14,000 in vehicle loss and $9,500 in rental costs. Worse, I suffered PTSD and anxiety, requiring medication just to cope with the trauma.
I filed a claim in July 2024, and after months of patience, the city has still failed to respond or take responsibility. The deadline for their response was March 28, 2025, yet I’ve heard nothing. Their negligence has caused me financial hardship, emotional distress, and ongoing struggles. No one should have to go through this because of the city's failure to maintain safe roads.

Read moreAwful experience with the Assessors/Collector's office. Terrible customer service. They sent me an excise bill when I haven't lived in Medford in years. I tried calling multiple times over a week's period to get the situation cleared up and no one answered the phone. So I had to take time out of my work day to visit the office. I politely tried to explain to the woman at the desk that I no longer lived in Medford and hadn't in years. She told me with an attitude they don't handle those issues and wouldn't give me any information as to who I could contact for resolution. Yet, the bill clearly states to contact that specific office for inquiries. Hard to imagine I'm the first person who has had to deal with this. The level of disrespect and attitude was completely uncalled for. If you don't like your job, don't pass along your feelings to customers or go get a new job....
