In short: it was a very awkward experience is the nicest way I can explain it. Avoid this place if you can. If you can’t, observe for yourself.
In full: I think what is happening is that the young people working here are taught by the owner, Bob to conduct business exactly how he carries his business. I kind of feel bad for these young folks because we never really felt welcomed. There was utter confusion around the pizza for our 2 children’s birthday party. We had about 20 children and 20 adults give or take and they bring out (2) 12” pizzas at a time. Yes, you read this correctly, bite size pizza (kiddie size) and you’re not permitted to bring in your own food. Our invitee patrons were basically standing around waiting for staff to bring two pizzas out at a time, and when I asked to order more, the young girl tells me “we just bring out two at a time and see where everything is at.” She mentioned in so many words that if there’s extra pizza left over it can become problematic. I said, “couldn’t we just take extra pizza home if it’s that big of an issue, do you have boxes?” She said no. So they basically bring you out about 8 small pieces of pizza on trays individually plated so it’s very difficult to know exactly what you paid for. Our bill ended up being $270 for the birthday party and another $12 per whole “pizza” (x 6). A pretty hefty price tag for a very sub par experience. Bob said his oven only cooks 2 pizzas at a time, so if that’s true why does this business agree to host large birthday parties? It makes zero sense. Tell people up front that you cannot accommodate larger parties since your oven only holds two pizzas. There was also some weirdness my inlaws experienced about the hotdogs but that’s a whole different discussion. Save your money and...
Read moreI took my 10 year old on a Saturday, paid $20 for both of us to get in and rent skates, which I thought was a decent price. Then we got all the way in and were surprised how tiny it was. We got there as the doors were opening yet there were already no free tables to sit at or put down our things. It looked like there were two or three birthday parties scheduled and honestly, they shouldn't book more than one at a time during public skate hours, it's just too small. Even the ceiling over the rink area is really low. It felt claustrophobic.
I helped my daughter get skates, but decided to hold off on getting any for myself for the time being. She went and did one lap and immediately came off the floor to tell me how cramped it was and that there's no rail around most of the rink for less experienced skaters to hold onto, just wall. She was worried about being run into and knocked over. We decided to just return her skates and leave. So $20 for one person to do one lap.
The only good things I can point out were that the employees were very friendly and that there was already hot food ready to buy when we walked in. Otherwise it was cramped, dingy, and looked like it could use a serious deep clean. I can only imagine that all the good reviews were left by folks that have never been to any other skating rinks.
I'm sure it could be lots of fun if you went on a weekday and it wasn't so crowded, but on a Saturday afternoon with multiple birthday parties taking place, it felt way too packed for us. If the payment counter were inside more (it's directly inside the main entrance and you have to pay to go in the actual facility) and we could've actually seen the whole place, how small it was and the fact that there were no open tables to sit at before paying, we would've saved the $20...
Read moreNice, clean facility. Completely rude staff. We had a few families meet us to celebrate my sons birthday, as an informal evening out, but we didn't pay for a whole birthday party package because some of the families weren't skating (elderly grandparents) or had dietary restrictions, etc. Regardless, every family either paid to skate OR purchased refreshments OR spent quite a bit of money playing arcade games with my kids. We didn't bring decorations and didn't even plan to consume our cupcakes in the building out of respect for the facility (until the owner showed us multiple times how rude he was-then we just didn't care). I had a mom ask for a bag for the arcade game prizes and he very rudely stated "Why should I give YOU a bag?" I had a teenager walking around with a straw in her mouth, he told her to throw it away that she couldn't have that in her mouth. He was overall extremely rude given the amount of money we spent (WAY more than had we bought a formal birthday package). I will never spend another dime here purely based on his poor attitude and I don't suggest anyone else...
