After calling the Wolfchase location to get a $20 price quote for replacing a broken iPhone 6 screen, I visited the location (where I was then told that the actual price for replacing the screen would be the $20 quoted price, plus an additional $14.99 for labor). The updated price was a bait-and-switch, and I should have known better than to hand them my phone as a result. However, the total $20 + $14.99 + taxes = $38.40 still seemed reasonable, so I handed over my phone for the screen to be replaced.
Once I received my phone back with the new screen, I noticed that both the Wifi and Bluetooth were no longer functional (they were working fine prior to having my screen replaced). I talked to the technician who replaced the screen, and he initially said that they could look at repairing the Wifi/Bluetooth for an additional $100. After reiterating several times that the Wifi/Bluetooth was functional prior to them replacing the screen, he told me I could drive across town to the Hacks Cross location to have the issue examined free of charge. After driving across town, I gave my phone to them and was told it would take several days to fix the issue.
Several days after dropping off my phone, I receive a call from a technician, stating that my Wifi/Bluetooth could not be fixed. But, they said they would provide in-store credit to me towards the purchase of either a new phone or phone accessories. I drove back across town to the Hacks Cross location, where I was given my damaged phone, and I inquired about utilizing the in-store credit towards a replacement iPhone internal battery. I was told that the Hacks Cross location did not have any replacement batteries of that type in stock, but I could drive back across town to the Stage Road location to get the battery and have the in-store credit applied. Once I arrived at the Stage Road location, I was told that the in-store credit did not apply towards the purchase of anything other than a new phone.
I also just discovered that they damaged the camera in my phone as well.
In summary, I thought before walking into B Connected Wireless that I was going to pay $20 (plus tax) to have my screen replaced, and that they would do a reasonable job and not break other aspects of my phone in the process. After an additional $14.99 labor fee, their damaging my Wifi/Bluetooth, having to almost demand that they take a look at the damage they caused to the phone without charging me an additional $100, and several trips to their various locations across town to be told one thing and then another, I felt the need to share my experience so that no one else has to go through the same thing.
The staff at B Connected Wireless has stated repeatedly that they could not have damaged my WiFi and Bluetooth, that they were only replacing the screen, and that it must be an Apple software issue. But the truth is that my WiFi and Bluetooth were working perfectly moments before I walked into B Connected Wireless, and I had updated my Apple software to the most updated version without issue weeks before. It was not working after they ârepairedâ the phone. Itâs not a...
Read moreThe absolute worst experience Iâve ever had. I had a iPhone X. It works perfectly fine. Looked brand new, except the back glass was broke so i Took my phone in to have the back glass replaced, they told my husband that they had to remove the motherboard and place it in a whole different casing for the phone due to it being cemented to the actual frame of the phone. Sure whatever. The casing that they gave us, was beat up ans looked terrible. Thatâs besides the point tho! Now my phone doesnât function at all. It acts like it doesnât have a battery. It wonât charge and only works when itâs connected to the charger ans still says 0%. It cuts on andoff even on the charger. Iâve called multiple times for them to fix it and. Now they wonât call me back. So I paid almost $300 dollars for my phone to be broken and not work! I had to buy a new phone so Iâm out over $1000 dollars just for trying to get my glass replaced!! I would NEVER suggest this...
Read moreDonât use the store in Wolfchase mall for repairs, itâs a rip off, went in there to get my LCD screen repaired, cost me $200 as soon as I got home my phone screen froze, cut on and off, went back they changed the screen again, left out the door screen did the same thing, went back told me there was nothing they could do but buy an original replacement screen for an additional $200. My question, I thought thatâs what I was getting in the first place? Why wouldnât you tell your customers there were two types of LCD screens from the beginning? Had I known that I would have taken my phone directly to the Apple Store where their work is guaranteed! They could care less about my question, they ignored me and went on talking to another customer! Total rip-off Iâm out of $200! Will never go there again!...
