I stopped in to see if they could order a pendant that I wanted to have made for my daughter's 21st birthday (3 wks. before her b-day). They said yes, we have plenty of time to order and get the pendant made, so I went ahead and ordered what I picked out. On 8/12 I received a call from Edie at the Mentor location and she advised that the pendant did not come in today as planned. Mind you, the pendant was to arrive 8/12, set with the jeweler 8/13 and ready for pick-up 8/14 before my trip to Florida for my daughter's b-day. Needless to say I was very angry, shocked and upset that the pendant never came in as planned originally. This project was very special to me because I waited 21 yrs. to give this to my daughter! Supposedly, it was being processed for delivery on 8/12, but never showed! I was told she made calls, spoke to management, etc. and to no avail--nothing. I would have thought that someone would have followed up periodically to check on the status of the pendant..... Then while I was in Florida, I got the call on 8/16 at 4:15pm saying the pendant finally came in (4 days after the fact). I said I had to leave Sunday first thing, so it was pointless sending it to me in FL to try and get another jeweler to set it for me (which I had originally worked out if the pendant came in before I left on 8/15). So after all was said and done, ASHCROFT JEWELERS FAILED TO GET THE JOB DONE with plenty of time to do so. I am recommending that NO ONE go to this store, if you do, enter at your own risk! Read moreI’ve had my ring for two years. The whole center stone has collapsed twice. When they fixed it the last time they set my center stone crooked. Then a stone fell out and needed to be replaced. I went to have it fixed AGAIN to straighten out my center stone so a 4th time this time at the Beachwood location and they cleaned the ring and it looks the exact same. Crooked, and identical to the before picture I took. I’m bringing it in for a final time tomorrow back to mentor. For a $3000 piece of jewelry I’m so disappointed. I have my wedding band on layaway and I regret it immensely I wish I had gone somewhere else all together. All I have to say is I would avoid this jeweler and if you do choose them, definitely get their insurance. It’s so hard to love a ring you’re going to have forever when there is so many issues and they don’t seem to try to take the time to fix the issue the right way. So so so disappointed. I’m really hoping tomorrow is the LAST time I have to come back for a long time. There is no reason that at 2 years of wear there is this many issues...
Read moreManagement team was very unhelpful to the clerk that helped us place the order. Kid was literally afraid to ask for help because they were so critical of him. Placed an order the Saturday before Christmas, told order would be in before Christmas, it wasn't but I wasn't concerned with that, we ordered it late so I understand it's a busy season. Called Saturday of Christmas weekend, told it wasn't in but would be in next week. No call the next week, so I called, was told it wasn't in but would be the following week for sure. Here we are the following week, still not in, was told it should be in later today, but if not than....you guessed it, should be in the following week. This wasn't a super custom order, it's a staple item in their catalogue, has been three weeks, they don't know where it is. Will definetly not order anything else from Ashcroft and oak or Rogers and Holland jewelers again. Just hope we actually get the ring for my wife before...
