The Original Hotdog Factory — Restaurant in Mentor

07/07/24. Saw this place reviewed on TikTok and thought we’d give it a try. It was mediocre at best. I tried the Jamaican Dog (3.5). A regular corn dog (4.2) and fries ordered extra crispy. They were not. The sauce on the jerk hot dog was overwhelming and was drowning everything and made it over all a soggy mess. The corn dog was cold in the middle and the fries were a let down. Tiff got a California hot dog (4.9) onion rings (8.2) and a corn dog. It was grey in the middle ( as if it were old) by far the best item ordered. And her corn dog was to cold in middle. Overall experience 4.8. For us we will not return. If they fixed a few things it could be really good. The various combinations they offer sound amazing. They just don’t execute the final product....

My granddaughter who is 11 placed our order. I was charged full price meals. When I asked why I wasn’t charged for a kids meal the girl went to the kitchen and came back saying my order was already being made so she couldn’t return and reimburse me. I said I am getting the same thing as the kids meal and could I speak with the manager. She said he just left and sorry, there’s nothing she could do. You know what I like about this place is that no matter when you come how busy or how slow they are your food is always made fresh you wait a couple extra minutes for that which for me is a fair trade the food is always hot and you usually have to wait a minute or so for it to cool off some people might think that that is inconvenient but I think that that's great service and says a lot about this restaurant you just don't get fresh hot food anymore they're always very nice and the food is delicious The portions are big I...
