I initially called and was dealing with a man named Paul. Turned out he moved. So I get Dennis who says he the owner. I explain I want 3 cameras. One facing toward oncoming traffic, one inside the cabin, and one rear facing. I explained further that we wanted to be able to see what's going on in our vehicle, because we do a lot of valet parking and have had stolen items and times we were sure our car was being driven or used by them. I also explained we want something that will alert us in the event of someone inside our car (valet) so we know what he's doing. I further explained that I want to be alerted if it's hit while parking. It must be able to pick that stuff up, as we just paid over $2,000.00 to repair a ripped down rear view mirror someone did in the Shoprite parkingtube's. I explained I don't want to pay a monthly service. I have wifi cameras within my home I get alerts to throw the motion sensor. No outside company needed.
So he fully understood. So he tells me he has the right equipment for the job and I need to leave a $400.00 deposit (total job was $1,600.00 for my two cars to be hard wired. I leave the deposit and about a week and a half I bring the cars in one by one.
He then sits with me to help me get into the unit to check the recording. I'm still not realizing it will NEVER EVER ALERT me that anything nafarious is happening. It only highlights while your driving (bumps will alert the camera)
Well I could never figure out how he got into the recall so I drove back to his shop. I actually got my unit to connect with the "thinkware" wifi application. I realized at that point 2 things. 1 it will not allow you into communication unless the car is running, meaning you have to sit in the car, connect the app and look at your footage that way.
REDICULOUS! I DID NOT PAY $1,600.00 TO SIT IN MY CAR EVERY TIME I VIEW IT!
Not to mention it doesn't always connect.
In addition, the rear view camera shuts off when you shut the car off which COMPLETELY DEFEATS the purpose of having it in parking mode. I've told him this and was advised he's booked for a week and a half and can't do anything.
I complained through a text that I was very very very unhappy with the entire system as it does not work as I had asked for. He just texted back he fully explained that to me. I do not recall him EVER telling me what the equipment would do or I would have said NO find another.
He says he's been in business for 23 years (I think that's what he said) and he's never had problems like this before. Sadly he was a referral from Firestone in Middletown so I trusted his judgement and never looked at his reviews.
He has low ratings as well as good ones. I am very disappointed in this situation as I faught my husband to use this guy. My husband said he's way to expensive and thought badly about the guy.
My husband is rarely wrong. You live and you get burned. I will find another electronic guy and have these inferior cameras taken out and correct equipment installed.
VERY VERY VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER. I out $1,600.00.
Do your due diligence, always check the reviews and get it in writing what you want so there's no wriggle room when it's said and...
Read moreWell, brought my car in for some much needed aftermarket audio. They have done my tints and my remote starter! Drone Mobile is the only way to go! I've heard some of their products playing during those visits. Got me thinking. Thought I would treat myself to a real audio experience. Paul gets creadit for that one. We went with the stock head unit, as it had my navigation, an amp, RCA input/ouput, component speakers all around, and a dual sub box. Seemed like a simple build. Dropped my car off Thursday morning and was scheduled to pickup Saturday. When I picked it up Saturday there were a few things wrong and there was a communication breakdown. Basically, the component speakers were blown due to the incorrect setting on the amp. That is the best way to sum it up. one would think that is where the story ends. Angry customer. I'll admit I was a tad upset. That wasn't the end of the story everyone!!!! Denis, Steve, and Paul stepped up like they were the big man on campus. Walk it out! There is a break in period for all new systems that was not communicated. They replaced the component speaks completely They replaced the RCA output/imput as there was slight jiggle in the connection. Who does that? A copmpany that cares about their customers. They spent real time tuing my system to the heavy metal I love. There were tweeters int he dahs that were way too bright. They put coaxials in the dahs to dampen that and reay tie in the system. When I drive down the road, at the recommended break in volume, I'm relaxed and enjoying the ride even with Five Finger Death Punch playing. The work they do compels one to love the drive and fall in love with music all over again. They might be small..... but they walk ... and talk.... and live like they are the shop. They are the only place I'll ever go for my vehicle electronics! Great job everyone!...
Read moreThese guys really know what they are doing! I purchased a 2021 Toyota Rav4 Prime the beginning of May 2021 and originally had my dealership install a remote start.
Prior to Mobile Electronics' visit, A-1 Toyota's salesperson did not tell me that I had to carry the aftermarket remote keyfob and the factory oem keyfob. When I left the Toyota Dealership, I had to carry both keyfobs and every time I unlocked the door and popped the trunk, the car would beep 5-7 times. And when I locked my car with the after market remote, the doors would not lock half the time! I was beyond livid with their service and had them removed because half the time it was not working!
I talked about this issue to some of my coworkers and they recommended Paul from Mobile Electronics. They told me they can solve all the issues mentioned above, So I called them up and they scheduled me in that same week.
Mobile Electronics ended up installing a CompuStar remote starter with Drone Mobile. IT WAS GAME CHANGER. On top of that, they programed my factory keyfob to remote start and I could leave the CompuStar at home. I now only have to carry ONE-factory keyfob with me now.
Drone Mobile, is probably the most useful tool you need if you carry a smartphone with you everyday. With a monthly subscription less than one takeout lunch, you can check if you car is locked, unlocked, trunk opened, interior temperature, battery voltage, remote start, and even GPS location.
Everyone at Mobile Electronics was great, and understanding. They are a no BS company and will explain why or why not something will not work.
If you have issues with this company, you should re-evaluate your life because they are Gods among men.
