Honestly I want to cry. A day after my visit to Marshallâs. I went into their store and instantly fell in love with this piece they had of a mirror with a skeleton over it. It was porcelain material and it was a statement piece I have been looking for! I instantly fell in Love with it. Unfortunately it had a small crack in the bottom of the porcelain skeleton. Something so minor I was going to just glue it back together and paint it over a matte black. I spoke to the supervisor there about purchasing it for a bit of a discount due to the broken pieces. She refused to sell it to me. I begged and pleaded with her even told her Iâd buy a pair of gloves from the store and handle it with care. I diy a lot so I would be so careful. She refused. I get the safety part on it. But I needed that piece. It was like nothing Iâd ever seen before and itâs so sad that a corporation would rather throw it out then sell it to someone who really wanted it. Itâs like waiting to purchase a cotton candy at the stall and the person in front of you getting the last one. There was nothing I could do about it. Two days later and I am so sad and hurt about this stupid decision. I donât think I will come back to this Marshallâs after...
Read moreI went to do a return of sneakers my husband had bought me for Christmas. Being the typical guy, he didn't save the receipt and the shows he bought me were unfortunately to big. They wouldn't let me do the return bc I didn't have the receipt and bc one of the shoes didn't have a tag but the other one did (which is how he bought them). I didnt make a big deal because my son was with me but it didn't sit right with me. Today I called customer service who stated they absolutely could do they return. Then I called the store and spoke to a manager by the name of Joe who said they could have done it but wouldve give me the lowest price for it. I explained to him that wouldve been fine bc I used to work in retail I get its my burden to keep the receipt so I wouldve been fine with the lowest selling price but I wasn't even given that option. He was apologetic for his staffs action but that doesn't negate the fact that in order to return them again I'd have to drive back to the store for something I've already been to the store for. You don't treat customers that way. Especially during holiday time. Especially during a trying time for everyone. I'm all set with Marshalls and the other stores...
Read moreI love going here. I have been a customer for over a decade and go shopping a couple of times a month. I have bought clothes, toiletries, food, furniture, you name it. I took for granted great price and pleasant customer service till my most recent visit when I came across an associate named Deb B. Her rudeness was startling. It was a surprise and a drastic departure from my previous experiences and made me realize what I had taken for granted. In my short encounter with her, she spoke with an attitude that she knew more than me and I was to be told what to do. She avoided eye contact and did not engage in minor pleasantries of how I was doing or found everything in the store. She bossed around a young female, and only associate, around while cashing me out. Then she put the receipt down on the table and looked away to signal she was done with me. Deb B has made me better appreciate all the other associates who were professional enough to leave me wanting to come back and shop here as another generic shopper for over a decade! One star for Deb B. 5 stars...
