There are no words to tell you how frustrated I am with this company. I was home from the UK for an undetermined amount of time and thought I would rent a bedroom set from a store that I could just send it back to when my stay was up. So the bed is delivered and I will be honest, it was a great mattress! However, the two tables that came with it were busted up and the worst quality of any due to have ever seen. One table was useless from day one. Keep in mind, I am paying over $150 per month. I decided to use autopay so I don’t have to worry about the payments. Within a couple months the other side table completely imploded onto itself. I called the company and they told me they had complaints about the tables. Now - this is where my main complaint comes in. I had been paying $150 a month for a YEAR! So I am $1800 in for a bedroom set that is worth $1,000 TOPS! I speak to the Supervisor Randy who tells me I can purchase the set outright for another $500 and I consider that offer - but I’m Leaving the country and just don’t need it so I schedule a time for the drivers to come pick it up. Of course on the day of the scheduled pick up NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND THE PERSON I SCHEDULED IT WITH AND CONFIRMED IT WAS OUT THAT DAY. Then I find out Randy has been sent to another store and the new Manager, Gabriel was taking over. I GO to the actual store and speak to Gabriel. He assured me the drivers would be at my home later and that once the furniture was received back - no further payments would be taken automatically. Would you like to guess if that was accurate. The furniture was returned to Rent A Center on May 13. EVERY WEDNESDAY SINCE (May 15, May 22, May 29, June 5 AND June 12) $36.56 has been charged to my credit card. EACH WEEK (as well as days in between) I HAVE CALLED GABRIEL AT THE LOCAL STORE AND HAVE BEEN ASSURED THE CHARGES WILL BE RETURNED AND IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. I can understand that things happen. Things can be overlooked. People can get busy. But this is now just straight up FRAUD!! And each and every person I have spoken to about this have been BEYOND INCOMPETENT !!!

Read moreI want to share my experience with the rent a center in meriden ct. I first went in to rent to buy a computer. I was extremely fortunate to be taken care of by Sasha. She is absolutely amazing!!! I ran into some issues with the computer I chose.. It had nothing to do with the computer...rather the choice I made with what I needed it for. After I thought about it I thought a good cell phone would suit my needs better. This is where it became an issue. Again not with the phone . my cell carrier made it next to impossible to use it. Sasha didn't take that as a reason to give up. She first had alex who was absolutely amazing come to my work to try to make it operate properly. Well no luck !!!! When I went to bring it back to Sasha she called Verizon and worked with the tech support for over an hour to get it to work. She did it with a smile and I never felt like I was being a pain in the neck to her. I should also mention that she had Alex get the phone from the Hartford store. Alex was happy to do it. They make a great team there. I left the store very happy. I now need new furniture. You can bet that I will call Sasha to help me. If I could give her a 6 star rating.....I...
Read morehave been calling for about two months trying to fix my biweekly payment to monthly. I have spoken to the manager of the store and he has stated a couple times that he has fixed it and that he had made a note that I will pay every 24th of the month, it has said that I have a past due balance I have paid on July 24. The next payment should be August 24 but I have a $223 past due balance payment. Every time I call the store the person who picks up is confused and the manager seems like he’s very clueless. He just remembered today when I called that that’s something he did but he has not updated it on the Rent-A-Center app so it says that I am past due. He stated last month when I talk to him that he put in a note and he did not someone came to my door to try to take the furniture, which is very embarrassing when I already made a payment agreement with the manager.
