good view and sound from the water, and the creek's retaining walls in this area are terraced rocks. So, you don't have to depend on the limited benches and tables.

Playground for kids. Nothing special.

A grill is there somewhere, I think? I haven't witnessed anybody use it.

the restrooms, iirc, are just one or two portable toilets. Which means people tend not to respect them like you'd wish.

The water is usually shallow, so ducks/geese don't spend much time there. Unless it's spring and ducklings/goslings are being raised. Only the smallest of fish.

Beautiful scenery, walking & biking trail with great view of Turkey Creek as well as a very nice playground for kids to enjoy. Usually quite & great place to meditate or throw parties. Also, very well kept by Merriam Parks & Recreation not to mention the neighborhood watch & Wonderful Merriam & Shawnee Police Department that patrols constantly to make sure its a safe place for everybody, ages of all from newborns(accompanied by parents, grandparents, foster parents, single parents, etc) & our wonderful elders that helped make sure votes counted when it came to making the Park a Great Place...

Was picking up a friend close by, so not really at this park on the date suggested, but I am very familiar withnthe place anyway and have been tberd several times. Like it, except for path runs parallel to creek and train tracks. So other than all the mosquitoes and loud trains through entire area, it is a very nice area, but I would suggest going early.. In general, I really like what Merriam and Shawnee have done with this park and...
