I’ve been to this salon a couple of times before and felt the work was average, but my most recent experience was truly upsetting — so much so that I left in tears.
I had scheduled an appointment for partial highlights, which I was told would start at $125. Unfortunately, the stylist assigned to me seemed inexperienced and unsure of what to do. She didn’t foil my hair, which is a standard part of partial highlights, and spent a long time asking other stylists for advice. She used far too much product, and the result was disastrous — my hair turned an unnatural orange tone. When I expressed my concerns, I was told the lighting made it look that way, which simply wasn't true.
I was extremely upset, especially since this was right before a vacation. The manager, Sabrina, came over when I began crying. Instead of showing understanding, she insisted my hair looked just like the inspiration photo I had shown — it did not. Despite the poor results, I was initially charged $465 for only partial highlights. After some back and forth, they reduced it to $365, but I still paid a significant amount for something I was deeply unhappy with. They did offer to fix it, and I returned two days later and they put some undertone highlights. Unfortunately, while the color looked slightly better, it was still orange and not what I had asked for.
That wasn’t the only disappointing experience. I had also booked a haircut for my 8-year-old daughter, who wanted a butterfly cut. The stylist was surprisingly rude and dismissive. She asked my daughter — in a condescending tone — if she styles her hair every day: “Do you curl your hair every day? Do you blow it out? I don’t think the butterfly cut will look good if you don’t style it daily.” My daughter still wanted the cut, just a light trim at the ends, and didn’t need it styled. Yet I was told it would be $45 instead of the $30 I had been quoted on the phone, because it supposedly required styling. I explained that she was going to the pool afterward and didn’t need it styled, but the stylist responded curtly, saying, “Well, I don’t know about your plans,” in a very unfriendly tone.
Overall, this salon is overpriced and lacks the professionalism and care I expect, especially when dealing with children. I won’t be returning and do not recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to risk paying a lot of money for a disappointing experience with the unexperienced and no...
Read moreI went in today as a last minute apt. I was super appreciative that they got me in so last minute. The hair cut I received however, was not great. I couldn't see what it looked like fully until I got home. I should have fully looked the cut over WELL while I was still there so it definitely is partially my fault that I didn't catch it. I feel like the stylist knew she messed up because she was asking A LOT of questions about how I style, how it lays, what I do to it heat wise.. which yes are all questions that stylists SHOULD ask, but the manor in which they were asked was throwing me off a bit. The stylist was pretty shaky and I could feel her hand hitting the back of my neck not able to fully keep still. I feel really bad even leaving a bad review, but I truly just wasn't happy with the cut. I had asked for a same all over length haircut with light layering throughout everything. (When I say same length all over I mean, not asymmetrical or swing bob. The stylist had asked me if I wanted to shave the back of my head which is why I told her same all over while also asking for layering) The haircut was extremely uneven and the back was longer than the front. She only layered the back and it looked very uneven. The right side of my head had an arch cut out in the bottom. I did point out the longer in the back while I was still at the salon and she did acknowledge that she saw it but she didn't fully fix it and again I couldn't tell until I got home. I called when I got home and they did offer to fix the cut but I however didn't feel comfortable with that option. I asked for a refund for the card part of the transaction but unfortunately was denied. I figured it probably wasn't an option to get a refund but worth a shot. For me personally, I felt that the right choice was to take the loss money wise and just go somewhere else to have it fixed. I did get it fixed somewhere else today. Honest review... I probably wouldn't go back ever. Management DID give multiple options for me, but I didn't feel the options offered were something...
Read moreWorst experience I've had! Went in talked to Sabrina "the owner" she told me it would take TWO processes. Today was my second process and my hair DID NOT come out how I expected it, I told Sabrina she had told me it would take 2 processes and she respoded with "im not a mind reader". Their was way more professional ways to answer my question, but she chose to be rude about it. Walked out the first time with patches ALL over my head! I was pretty upset that they couldnt leave it an even color but went back the second time. I explained to them all EXACTLY How i wanted it. But ended up feeling like a lab rat. They did whatever they wanted and I ended up with nothing close to what i wanted. Sabrina was rude the second time I went in and super sarcastic. You should not give customers dirty looks when they tell you how they feel about how their hair was done. I thought you get what you pay for but I payed over 400 and my hair needs "more process". I shouldve just gone to somewhere else. Never been to a place where it takes 5 different girls to do my hair. Never going back.
The results you posted on INSTAGRAM were from MY SECOND TIME going. The first photos that you DELETED OFF instagram because you could clearly see the patches and people pointed them out. I don't understand what my sister has to do in any of this... you made me pay over 400 and I left with nothing close to what I wanted, in person my hair looked way different then the photoshopped photos you posted. I don't need to talk in spanish to make bad comments. I would have told you guys personally. It makes me upset that the owner sits there an talks bad to a customer trying to make themselves feel better about themselves. Obviously half the reviews are from your employees. Such a horrible environment. Why would anyone Wana go somewhere where they are judged if a customer ask them to re wash their hair cause they still had soap.. I saw as an old lady made a simple request and all the employees had little rude remarks to say. This...
