I strongly advise anyone considering doing business here to stay away. My vehicle’s AC is still not working, and despite it being under warranty for 12,000 miles or 159 days, I’ve received no real help or resolution. The team here lacks efficiency, communication, and professionalism.
I recently spoke with a newer employee, Marco, and explained the ongoing issues and poor experience I’ve had so far. Unfortunately, instead of offering help or a solution, he simply repeated that he couldn’t assist me. No effort, no guidance—just dismissal.
To make matters worse, the finance company continues to call and email me because the vehicle doesn’t currently have insurance. They stress that their “asset” must be protected at all times—but what about me as the customer? The “asset” isn’t even working properly. Why should I keep paying for a so-called “new” vehicle when the AC doesn’t work, and I’m not receiving the support I need?
It’s not that I can’t afford my car payment or insurance—it’s that I refuse to keep pouring money into a car that isn’t functioning correctly, and a company that shows little to no accountability.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Overall, this has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had purchasing a vehicle. I would not recommend buying a car from this dealership unless you’re a certified mechanic and know exactly what to look for.
I worked with Edward and Matthew — both were cool people and tried to be helpful. However, transparency was lacking. The manager (the one in the single office on the left) was incredibly unprofessional. He walked right past me during my first visit, didn’t introduce himself, didn’t acknowledge me, and didn’t ask how things were going — just ignored me completely.
I purchased a 2017 Buick Encore, and on the same day I drove it home, the check engine light came on and the AC vents started blowing smoke. I immediately contacted Edward, who told me not to worry because the car came with a warranty — what he didn’t mention was that there’s a $100 deductible every time you use it. Even if you just purchased the vehicle
I had to drop the car off at their mechanic, pick up a loaner, and wait several days. When I got the car back, the AC stopped working again. I live about an hour away, and now I was told they wouldn’t offer a loaner this time because the first one was just a “courtesy.”
I then paid out of pocket to have a separate mechanic look at the car. He found what the actual issue was with the AC — it wasn’t the compressor like their shop claimed. When I brought that to their mechanic, he refused to listen and “fixed” the wrong thing. I ended up paying another $100 just to retrieve my car, and the AC still doesn’t work.
When I explained all this to Edward, Matthew, the manager, and even the finance team, they all told me there’s “nothing they can do.” Not even 30 days into ownership, and I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix a vehicle they sold me in faulty condition — and I still have no AC.
To make matters worse, the mechanic I paid also found a wire under the hood that shouldn’t even be there — something not original to the vehicle. When I told the dealership mechanic, they pushed it out of sight instead of explaining or addressing it.
Bottom line: the lack of accountability and care from both management and the finance team is unacceptable. I understand companies have policies, but this situation called for compassion and basic customer service. Instead, I was left to deal with it on my own.
Save yourself the stress, time, and money. I wouldn’t recommend this...

I purchased a 2017 Buick Encore from this dealership, and from the very beginning it has been nothing but a nightmare. The moment I drove the vehicle off the lot, the engine started smoking, smoke came through the AC vents, and the check engine light came on. When I contacted the dealership, they brushed it off by saying the smoke from the AC vents was “normal” (which it isn’t) and told me to bring the vehicle back so they could look at the check engine light. At no point did they explain what was actually wrong with the vehicle, nor did they show any remorse, concern, or transparency.
After those issues were supposedly fixed, the AC stopped working entirely. I had to return to the mechanic three times, and the AC problem was never truly resolved. On top of that, I was forced to pay $100 twice just to get my vehicle back from the mechanic shop — even though they advertise that their cars come with a warranty, they do not clearly disclose that you have to pay a $100 deductible every single time you use it, even right after purchase.
The finance team was equally terrible. They completely lacked transparency, communication, sympathy, or any sense of customer service. When I told them my first payment would be late because I had already spent money paying deductibles to fix issues that existed the moment I bought the vehicle, they said it was “unacceptable” since it was my first payment and threatened repossession. Meanwhile, the AC still was not working. I told them I wasn’t comfortable making another $400 payment on a vehicle that was still not functional, and their response was that my only option was repossession.
To make matters worse, when I asked them to at least pick up the vehicle to take it back to their mechanic to fix the AC, they refused. They said they would only pick it up to repossess it, not to help a customer resolve ongoing problems with a vehicle they just purchased.
The staff as a whole was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the entire process. Despite the fact that the car had problems from the moment I bought it, they repeatedly told me they didn’t care — all they wanted was for me to make payments on a car that wasn’t working properly. In the end, I no longer have the vehicle because I refused to keep paying for something unreliable and broken. They even came to repossess it while I still had paper tags.
I’ve since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I am in the process of seeking legal action. This dealership is dishonest, unprofessional, and only concerned about money — not their customers. I would strongly caution anyone against doing...
Read moreRecent Update: I am going to sell the vehicle I purchased here as it’s giving me to many issues and I don’t have the funds to keep putting into it. To top it off I’m sure I’m not going to get what I paid here for it. I can say I’m frustrated and I wish I would have done my research before making any purchases from Stanley Direct Auto.
Made a review before. Edwin called me. Which I think was good. For them to acknowledge that something was wrong. But was going to have to pay for repairs when I had just gotten the vehicle. Wasn’t even a month if I’m correct. Had some repairs done. Still got the same issues. I am now having to look into taking it to a ford dealer. I am driving the vehicle with noise and pulling when going a certain speed. I am frustrated with the vehicle itself and not the service as it was good from them. But the vehicle has an issue and I’m being told by many family and friends that I should not have bought this vehicle and that I made a mistake buying it or that I paid to much for it. Honestly wish I could go back and actually look at it good as it also has other issues that I will have to look into fixing. I may even need to look into selling it but I will definitely not get the amount I paid for it. And as a single mom of four who was looking for something reliable and big for me and my kids. It’s just frustrating.
Do your research before buying here and take your time to look...
