Urban Legends Comic Shop — Local services in Mesquite

I'm a simple person. I walk into the comic book shop, and I am instantly overwhelmed & panicked. I walk to the counter and ask the man, "Sorry can you help me?" I over explain myself, and never actually say that I'm just overwhelmed.

The man behind the counter helps me by grabbing the comics I asked for, without me having to find them - he already knows where they are. This man (who's name I don't know) is a constant here, and he makes me come back; He always has something for my sibling, and I often bring them in to grab something. This is one of the first times I went in without them. I was anxious, I'm always anxious.

I think the man who helped me is the owner, but I don't know his name. 😭 Whoever you are, mysterious man who is always friendly, always kind, I can't wait to come back and buy...

Took my nephew(6yo) for Free Comic Day, as he's just getting started in comic books. I had never been here before, as I go to Zeus Comics in Dallas as it's closer to where I live, but it was the closest comic book store to him. I was concerned about some reviews regarding rude employees. My review is based on just this one visit, but I didn't experience any rudeness. Employees were all very friendly to us, and they had a good selection of comic books, toys, and board games(although most of the board games were way above his level). If my nephew wants more comics, I'll take him back...

The staff is so so so so so nice. When I walk in someone immediately gets my pulls for me without even having to ask my name. The only comic shop out of three that I've been to that sells older issues at cover price-- the two others charge extra. They also sell Corrose Designs comic boxes, which is a local thing and they're the only place ive seen to sell them.
