I was looking forward to the opening of Homesense so, I could find more decor for my clients! I was treated horribly and they forever tainted the store for me. I'm still shocked and hurt by the way I was treated! As I was shopping my daughter decided to take a pillow to lay on to take a nap on. Which was great for me since I could get work done. Once I found the item I needed I went to the register to pay. I explained to the employee that I was not purchasing the pillow and that I will put it back myself since I didn't want to rip the pillow from my 4yr daughters head since she was still sleeping on it so, I thought nothing of it! Once I had finished purchasing the item I made a direct line to the pillows and woke my daughter up quietly. As I started to leave I could hear the employee 10 feet away loudly saying to another employee " Where is she?" "She stole the pillow!" " I told you to watch her! " saying over and over again! I then walked by saying, " I'm here! " I told you I was putting the pillow back! " I was mortified customers were staring and it was embarrassing. The employees couldn't even apologize. The register employee just walked away! While another looked down at the ground! No I'm sorry! Nothing! I then called the store the next day to voice my concerns of what happened! I then find out that the manager I was speaking too was, the one who was apparently supposed to be watching me. Which is more unbelievable! Why didn't he correct her in front of me and make her apologize while this was going on! He allowed me to walk out that door feeling like that! As I'm talking to him on the phone he said that he apologizes on her behalf! That there training their employees and some are overdoing it. That if I were to come in again he would give me 10% off! I'm sorry but, 10% isn't comparable to the embarrassment it caused and how it made me feel the whole day. Then to be felt like your being looked at as a thief! I mean are they looking at us all like that from the moment we walk in that door? I gave them no reason to think that I was stealing anything! I would have never been treated like this at Home Goods! Home Good employees are always so nice and make you feel comfortable in there store! All I know is that if they continue on this path it doesn't matter what you have! Your supposed to treat customers with respect and make sure they never walk out upset especially if your the ones who caused it! After getting off the phone with the manager I didn't feel any better! I will most likely reach out to someone higher up! I would hate for anyone else to...
Read moreI've shopped here on many occasions and store hop as there's a TJMaxx and Homegoods are on the same strip. I've never felt welcomed in this particular store. The associates tend to be unwelcoming and never offer to help find anything in the store. If I ask for help it's as thoughI'm disturbing their nap time 🙄. Typically I don't let it get the best of me but today was just hurtful. Associate ID Ending in ..4468 was absolutely dismissive. I approached her and said excuse me I have a question she didn't even look up or made eye contact 😒. I went ahead and asked my question and she responded with a condescending tone. I Lei it to and went to look for some drapes and other items I needed; (Mind you I've spent over $500 in the last week with the store chain and it's affiliates). Upon checkout (yup you guessed it - the same associate). She didn't call next, mor gesture for me to approach. However I was next and she was available. Complete silence 🔕. No - did you find everything you need or thank you for shopping with Homesense. It was horrible. I took my items and went straight to my car and write this post. We all have bad days, I get it. But something is terribly wrong here. I never want to use the race card, but there was no other logical reason. Our 🌎 is broken and need God. If you don't like your job, very one that you like. If you are having a bad day don't project that on...
Read moreI visited the new Homesense this evening and was very disappointed with the management chosen. I found a holiday lantern that I loved unfortunately it was broken. I brought the lantern up to the register asking if there were any others that weren't broken. The cashier Barbara was very friendly and helpful. She called her manager for me asking for a price check since there was no price tag. The manager Brian came up ranting in front of Barbara and I saying "He had 12 other things he was dealing with." He then looked at my lantern and scolded the cashiers saying there were multiple other lanterns. Brian left to get the lantern but he was wrong, mine was the last lantern. He came back empty handed then made up a price for the lantern I was interested in. The price was higher then all other comparable lanterns in the store. I didn't buy the lantern not because of the price but because of the arrogant attitude of the manager Brian. I truly hope this store finds a new manager or gives the current one some customer service training. Also please remember Brian the store is only as good as its employees. If you belittle your employees you will lose not only your staff but also...
