So let me tell u about āScottāā¦
I recently had surgery which has prevented me from walking unless Iām on crutches. Since I didnāt see any wheelchairs or carts for someone in my position, I dreaded having to walk thru a department store as big as Kohls for this reason- but I had to pick up an online order and make an Amazon return. As I was struggling to make my way thru the store, I had several Kohls associates to greet and walk around me. Finally I made it to the back, customer service. Iām standing in line, waiting on my turn when Scott approached me in the most friendly and helpful way and acknowledged that I was on crutches and expressed his concern for me walking around so much. He took the initiative to ask me if he could help me. He asked what I needed. When I told him what I was looking for, he asked me to wait where I was and heād get my online order and then helped me with my Amazon return. The other associates walking around me was not at all an issue since thatās what Iād expected to do. They were friendly, they were working- they did nothing wrong at all but what I didnāt expect was the assistance that Scott voluntarily offered. The world and Kohls could certainly use many more Scottās. Iāve never done much shopping at Kohls, maybe a few one offs here and there but Iām writing this review to make it known Iāll be visiting and shopping at Kohls more often. Scott changed my mind about Kohls. It was the concern he showed and assistance he went above and beyond to offer me. I hope he get all of the recognition heās in search of. He is a great representation of your company and he have left a positive impression upon me with the way he treated me. Itās the above and beyond thatās needed with these face-to-face, in person interactions. My visit took place on 11/06 and here it is, 11/15⦠9 days later and Iām still impressed and touched by my experience with Scott. So much that I just had to settle myself down to give this review. Upon entering the store it appeared like any other Kohl's department store, clean, good lighting, and etc. The problem occurred while shopping for a few items. I needed 2 items, a belt and a dress shirt.
I was happy to see a sale on men's slim fit and athletic fit dress shirts upon entering the men's section, but I quickly became frustrated. All of the shirts were put anywhere regardless of style, fit type, color, and size. Simply finding a 16.5 neck 35/36 shirt became near impossible. Fit types classic, slim, athletic, and oxford button down were mixed together with different manufacturers/designers, and colors. After about 10 minutes of trying to find something that would work for me, I decided to give up on finding a shirt.
Locating a belt resulted in the same frustration, nothing was categorized. Belt styles and sizes were all mixed together without regard to any organization. It was as if their Merchandising department decided to put items anywhere because they were busy. Eventually I found a belt after searching through many belts.
When I visited the register area to check out, the line was mildly long but not excessively busy, yet the staff at the registers (2) moved slowly and should have requested register help well before they did. To put this in perspective, When I arrived in line I was the 3rd customer of 3 customers. Before I was called to a register I was the 3rd of approximately 12 customers.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI rarely write reviews but I just had to shoutout the wonderful staff at this location. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything. It seems small but these days many stores donāt greet customers anymore. Itās sad. But this staff went above and beyond with assisting me and even searched high and low for a sheet set that I saw online. They helped me find the best pillows for my back pain and even offered me a wheelchair to sit since I was clearly showing signs of struggling. So many times people dismiss the needs of the customer and say āoh, if itās not on the shelf then we donāt have it.ā But not here. The woman did everything to find that UGG sheet set that I had been wanting. There was only one in stock and she found out!!! Not only that, the manager helped carry my bags to my car. I cannot praise this location enough. EXCELLENT customer service, pleasant attitudes, and patience⦠even with a store/line full of shoppers, they gave me legendary service. I donāt often go in stores anymore because of my disability but HERE is where I will be shopping from now on. Thanks so much for your help guys. You...
