I have dealt with Sergio and his team for many years had multiple amounts of work done to multiple items never without any issues... However this last time was the last time I will go there I dropped a ring off in February to have it resized for my wife for her 'mothers ring' which I purchased for her with our newest addition I pick up the ring and it's not sized correctly it was bent and you could clearly see where they stretched the ring. So I talked with Sergio and his team and took the ring back to have it looked at and fixed from there mistakes. They said they called me 2 days after I dropped it off when I called to see if it was done which I couldn't believe they called me on Monday when I dropped it off on Saturday and they are closed Sunday even when I dropped it off they said it would be a couple weeks not a day. Then I picked it up and it looks like absolutely nothing was done to fix it I'm waiting for my wife to get home to see if the sizing is even correct. I HIGHLY recommend Ocean View Jewelers, LLC family business! Ruban and his son, Sergio are very professional, honest, courteous and generous. Not only did my engagement ring receive the greatest of care but I and my fiance did as well. I brought in my engagement ring for repair because the prong came loose causing the gem to dislodge. At an astoundingly reasonable price, Ruban not only fixed the issue but two others as well, but not only that, he gave it a complimentary polish at the end! It was glistening! I received compliments immediately after, no joke. Then, he gave my fiance a wonderful price on ring expansion because it was too tight. We waited for only five minutes, and just like a miracle it fit perfectly. Also, he offered to expand it in such a way as to prevent it from slipping off during swimming and such, which is great because my guy swims miles. We left very, very happy. I brought my double star sapphire ring in to have the white gold refreshed with rhodium and asked if the sapphire could be polished as it was showing wear. I brought in an additional single star sapphire in case the existing stone could not be polished. I was assured the original stone could be polished with a significant cost increase owing to shipping fees. I agreed. After six weeks I was told my ring was ready. Thrilled, I went to pick it up and found the stone in the ring was not a double star sapphire, in fact the stone had no star. Ultimately I was assured this was the original stone and accused of trying to run some sort of scam....to what end I dont know. Even with photographic evidence of the original ring showing the double star, OVJ insisted the stone in the ring, without any star was the original.
