TD Beauty Spa — Local services in Milpitas

I've wish I could give a higher rating but even 2 stars is pushing it for me. Overall the experience was missing so many things in order to make someone feel relaxed and welcomed. I purchased through groupon because I really liked that they offered a combo package for a facial and scalp massage.

Here are the things I think should be adjusted that would've made my experience a 5/5:

-No one was at the reception desk to greet me for over 5 mins. I had to say "Hello" several times before a woman who was in the middle of giving a treatment stopped what she was doing to help and get me situated. -The waiting/main area looks like they're moving or about to be under construction. -The changing room is not private at all and only has sheer/see through curtains. -The stations should be divided by curtains and not out in the open, I don't want to see someone who I don't know laying down less than 3 feet from me. -THIS IS WHERE THINGS WENT WRONG. Before booking my appt I asked if it was ok that I have very curly hair (3B) and the person I spoke to said yes it's fine and that I could bring my own styling products to use instead of theirs so I can skip the blow drying process. At some point the person who was doing my facial switched with someone else without any notice so when this person turned on the blow dryer I had to stop her. She then proceeded to dry my hair with a towel rubbing it back and forth and caused my hair to look like two giant birds nest. I went to the back and had to use quite a bit of product to detangle which didn't take long since I know my hair. When I walked out to the reception area, there were 3 maybe 4 women standing as if they were waiting to see what happened to my hair (you could see the sigh of relief when they saw my hair back to normal).

Overall my hydro facial was the real winner and made my skin feel hydrated and got rid of most of my texture. The staff is nice but I feel that customer service like greeting the guest and asking questions prior to service beginning should...

I cannot express just how frustrated and disappointed I am with my experience at TD Beauty Spa. From the moment we arrived, things went downhill. My appointment was at 10:00 AM, and I ended up waiting outside for a full 20 minutes before the owner finally showed up. The lack of organization was clear from the start and only got worse as the treatment progressed. I had booked a session through Groupon that promised a 135-minute treatment, including a 24k facial and a 45-minute head spa. Instead, I was rushed through the entire experience and out the door by 11:25 AM, barely 1 hour and 25 minutes after starting. This was not the service I paid for, and honestly, it felt like a total scam. The head spa was incredibly disappointing. It was just a quick, uncomfortable scrub with nails on my scalp—nothing resembling a relaxing or professional massage. As for the blowdry, it was practically nonexistent; my hair was barely touched. What made the situation worse was that the aesthetician’s phone kept vibrating constantly throughout the session, which was incredibly distracting and unprofessional. To top it off, my husband was there with me, and he had a similar experience. He was also rushed through his treatment, and it was clear that the whole place was disorganized and chaotic. It's clear to me now that many of these are likely from paid influencers, and they definitely do not reflect the poor service we received. The biggest reason for my low rating is the intense scalp scraping—no lathering, no real massage—just dragging nails with pressure from the base of the scalp upward. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had in a “spa” setting. I’m not tender-headed, but the number of times my hair was pulled had me tensing up instead of relaxing. They also detangled my wet-to-damp hair using only fingers, no brush, which was painful and damaging.

The space feels very makeshift—treatment beds are separated by pony walls and curtains in a long hallway. While their menu lists many services, the setup doesn’t seem suited for it all.

On the plus side, the facial, shoulder, and neck work was decent, and I did appreciate how they worked into the hairline and behind the ears for a unique touch.
