Check in was fine. The lady I interacted with was professional, polite and engaged in conversation. Unfortunately from there on, things went downhill. First, ants started to crawl all around my bathroom, followed by other bugs. In addition to this, the location, while seems appealing for easy access to convenient stores, grocery etc. It is unfortunately a hot bed for thieves. Not the homeless scavengers, but the aggressive drug dealing schemers. The first thing I noticed was three tools missing from the bed of my vehicle. A pry bar, a box filled with various items for my trade and an empty propane tank. I wrote this off as my mistake, knowing the location and environment there well, I should have brought them inside and or put them in the cabin of my vehicle. The following was unacceptable. I stayed for 1 night of my 4 day stay, yet was forced to vacate after the first night. On my second evening at this hotel, I stayed up rather late. I was just getting to bed, around 11:45-12ish. I awoke, I exited my unit, and walked off the property line to smoke a cigarette. I ended up conversing with a man from Fiji, who acknowledged its a rather hit or miss area, where people will prowl the neighborhood. This being relieved to him out of my suspicion that it may have been him trying to pry open the window quietly and nudge the door. As this occurred, i i shared one of my cigarettes with him as we spoke of our upbringing, me from Italy, him from Fiji. As we spoke across the way in a separate property, I witnessed a Vietnamese man exit a grey Toyota Rav 4 style vehicle and walk straight to rooms 106, 105 and 104, returning to unit 105 and attempting to break in clearly. I, being scared yet naturally a hot blooded paisano, approached, took pictures of him and his vehicle as he raced off. Oddly, I noticed and heard a younger group of gentlemen up in the 3rd floor barking saying he did that to their unit as well. I did not believe them at all, knowing whenever I had exited my unit to leave for work or eat, they were always out one the railings on watch. Be aware, if you are of means or resemblance of someone of means, spend more for a more secure and safe location. These gang style thieves work together, rent rooms for a few days to do their shady dealings and then move on to their next targeted area before people catch on. This was mentioned to me after filing a formal police report with the city of Milpitas and personally reading out to a one Chief of police in San Jose. What these clowns don’t realize is im from a family of law. To sum it up, I left after that event asap, returned the next morning to inform the man I was checking out and will be requesting refund. He said the manager would call as soon as he returns. He never called. He is likely a cheapo Patel who will attempt to counter my refund request and he will fail at doing so or risk the repercussion of taking such route. I like to take my kids on stay-cations (we live in San Jose) at cheep motels during summer in the Bay Area. They feel like we've gone on a fun trip away while I don't have to deal with the stress of travel. This place was the best deal in the area but still over priced. The "resort fee" is a chance for the place to rip people off. Cons: Wifi is awful. I ended up using my Hotspot for all of us. T.V. signal is patchy. Breakfast? A tray behind the check in counter with 3 very low quality options of packaged junk. We checked it out the first day and didn't go back. Resort fee?! $10 for clean towels to be dropped off at the door isn't a resort experience. I had to ask to have our room cleaned 3 times (the third time I was really fed up and got a bit grumpy (which I normally never do) but it finally got done after 2 days of asking) and I was treated as if I was asking for something shocking. Covid seems to be an excuse for places to do the bare minimum. The beds were old and you could feel the springs under you when you were laying down. You can hear every foot step from the room above you. Sun loungers are almost all unusable. Pros: The staff were friendly (other than when you ask you have the room cleaned, that's frowned upon), the check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and smelled lovely on arrival, which was a nice treat. When they did clean the room during our stay they did a very good job. The shower pressure was great. The pool was very clean, towels stocked, and surrounding area was well kept. The area feels sketchy but the motel itself felt totally safe. The car park felt and looked safe too. Air conditioning worked great! Fast and very efficient. The walls and windows (unlike the ceiling) were very well insulated. 3 stars because we overall enjoyed our stay there but I'm not sure if we will stay again. Motel: Please get rid of the resort fee or provide working Wifi, a better breakfast, fix the pool loungers, and clean the rooms without acting as if it's an inconvenience.

This hotel is being rated for what it is, a 2-star hotel. I don't expect the same things from this type of hotel that I do from a 4 or 5-star hotel. Neither am I making any comparisons. This is a budget hotel/motel, and for what it is, it's very good. The young lady at the front desk who checked me in was very polite, courteous, and her positivity was contagious; the day shift was respectful, but not as friendly. The room was very clean, and I had no problems sleeping. The bathroom had plenty of towels and sundries. Housekeeping provides more if you ask, does a good job cleaning. The continental breakfast was what you'd expect (if you book through third-party vendor, don't pay the extra charge as the vendor gouges you). Food isn't an issue, as there's upwards of 20 different places to eat within a 7 minute walk, more if you make a short drive. Plus, a couple of grocery stores. Didn't use the pool, but looked clean and maintained. Plenty of parking; don't leave valuables in vehicle. The south-bay area is infamous for petty theft. The elevator moves and sounds like it's been used past its lifecycle; safe but slow. I always took the stairs. This was a same day reservation, and price was my primary concern; this was the lowest. I'm happy with the price, and my stay. If I’m back in the area, I'd be open to staying here again.

We were schedule to stay at the Days Inn, in Milpitas,CA (95035) from July 8, 2021 till July 12th. More than 10 days before our stay, I called to make sure our reservation was correct. We needed a room with Handicap Access as my wife depends on her scooter to travel. I was told by the agent over the phone, yes I will make sure you get one of those rooms (King Size) on the 1st floor. When we arrived, we were informed by the General Manager Sudeep, that the reservation on his end, showed a Queen sized room and that the only one available was on the 2nd floor, where we had to depend on a sketchy elevator. I then showed him my confirmation email, which stated King Sized room, on the 1st floor to which he simply shrugged his shoulders and said there's nothing he could do. He then offered me a rollout bed, which was not adequate. The next day, after checking back with Sudeep 3 times, we were switched to a King Sized room, two doors down, still on the 2nd floor. I then went to Walmart to purchase a shower chair for $42.59. We then met some friends for dinner that evening. When we arrived back at 8:30pm, we were greeted by Haylee at the front desk. As we attempted to take the elevator, we noticed after 5 minutes, it was not opening. I brought the situation to Haylee's attention. She came back 10 minutes later and stated there would be a delay, as the elevator needed to be reset. Mind you we are tired and my wife CANNOT take the stairs, as she needs her scooter to travel. Haylee wasnot able to reset the elevator as she was not trained, then revealed to us, the elevator has been known to have problems, something that was NOT told to us by the General Manager Sudeep, when we checked in the night before. She then told us, that she was not able to get anyone to come look or fix the elevator that night and instead offering a solution, she suggested we probably needed to find another hotel. Haylee stated she spoke to Sudeep and that he would refund our entire stay. While I am back on the 2nd floor, scrambling to take our luggage and belongings to the car, leaving my wife downstairs at the lobby; an abled-body customer comes inside and is given a room on the 1st floor, with handicap access. As my wife Kathy points out that we previously reserved a room on the 1st floor and that the customer could easily take our room; which they seemed agreeable to take by the way; Haylee stops them and says no, you're going to get the 1st floor. So instead of offering a solution, given the fact that we had no access to our room on the 2nd floor, because of the broken elevator, despite the fact that an abled-bodied customer was okay with taking our room on the second floor, so that my wife and I could take the 1st floor with handicap access, which by the way, had a shower chair in the room, we were basically told NO, you don't matter, you're just out of luck. I would have thought that Haylee, a larger sized woman herself, would have sympathized with our situation and tried to offer a solution, but no, her attitude was, tough luck you're stuck. As my wife, tried to display her frustration, while other patrons were nearby (Never screaming, never shouting obscenities, NOT ONCE); Haylee stated and I quote "If you persist on discussing this, I'm going to have to ask you to leave." All because we couldn't get a straight answer as to why she wouldn't switch our room with a physically abled person. I'm beyond UPSET, DISSAPPOINTED, DISGUSTED & HUMILIATED by Haylee and her callous attitude. I feel at the very least, I should be refunded the $42.59 I had to spend on a handicap shower chair, something that was available in the room we originally reserved (KING SIZE, 1st FLOOR with Handicap Access). It would seem that perhaps some further training would be in order for Sudeep, as to what to do when you have a complex situation like ours and solutions, as he offered none. I would strongly suggest that Haylee be FIRED or at least disciplined for her lack of customer...
