I just had the worst dining experience here today. We ordered some pork dumplings for my daughter who is 15 months old. When it came, the inside of the dumplings are raw! The ground pork in there are still very red and soft! When we told our server about it, she took the plate and walked away, without a word! We waited a little while and asked what are they going to do, another server told me that they will reheat the dumplings. But we don't want it anymore. I don't trust the food safety there anymore for my little daughter. When I told the server so, she got very mad and yelled to the back "don't bother make it! They don't want it!" I was totally shocked. The food was raw and nobody apologized and they are being even more rude than when we walked in there! My Friday night were totally ruined.
If you are like me, who is from north China and just want to have some food taste like home, you will certainly be disappointed. The menu there looks very fancy and attractive, but the food there is not that good. And the service there makes everything worse. Even though I am very home sick, there's not a single reason to go back to this " taste good Beijing...
Read moreWent to this place a couple years ago, still surprise this place is still in business. Things (Red Flags) I recalled:
Bugs in duck soup, see photo 2/2. Server was unnecessary mean by threatening to delay our service, “if you ask when the duck is ready, we will serve it at the last!” - Waitress served us that day For mysterious reasons, got food poisoning from whatever random dish that was possibly contaminated, through up 20x in 2 nights and had to go to urgent care for ondansetron injection. Mandatory 18% tip despite horrendous dining service + possibly tax evasion from other comments I read The cuteness of the duck place was the only highlight of the meal. Taste is ok but not superb.
Overall, I think did not intentionally sign myself up for a meal that comes with absolute unnecessary menace from the staff and food that cause serious public...

The lady who served our table was friendly and helpful. When we ordered too many soup dishes she would suggest we switch some to balance out the meal; when we ordered too many she warned us so we wouldn’t waste money even though it’s against her self interest, tips being percentage based and all (18% automatically calculated).
Let’s be honest, you’re here for the Peking duck. Remember to reserve ahead of time, and let them know when you’ll arrive, since they really care about carving the duck fresh for consumption, it shows pride on their work. I will say the 煎饼果子 needs improvement, lacked sauce and crunch, but I had no complaints with the food otherwise.
Be prepared to spend a good bit when you’re here for the first time, the duck is pricy but it’s a specialty and...
