I was at the lowest point of my life, suicide was constantly on my mind. W.E urban office knew of my situation (brother, father, husband had just died within months of each other) Alesha from W.E. office told me to go that very day because they were expecting me. I went and tbh it was a total shock to me but yet the worker they assigned for me was the most kind hearted caring woman I have met in my life, I can't remember her name but she has red curly hair and she helped me with no judgement. She. Went shopping and got me an outfit and jewelry to wear to my husband's funeral. She was definitely my Angel. After maybe 2 mths she comes to my room and tells me that she has a place for me and we're going to look at it the next day. It was a brand new Sr living apartment building. They showed us a beautiful 1 bdrm apartment on the 3rd floor with a great view. I was the 1st person to live in this apartment. There was only 1 other person living on the 3rd floor Along with me. First of all, they won't answer the phone to try and force u to leave a message. They like to play games and waste people's time running around do this do that paperwork or go to this place. Even the county lady on the phone was looking at my case and said to me it looks like you been registered for yeeears like like 2010 and still homeless and said the closed my case for no reason. There looking ladies because they would jump on it in a heart beat but since I'm a guy now they're gonna play games and ask me to go through the entire process again (knowing I don't have bus tokens)and have me go through bs registration again or basically waisting my time and days put out further so they don't have to help you run...

In February 2024 suicide seemed like my best option as I had lost everything. The staff at avivo was beyond supportive and kind, so kind. They want to help people back up, with honest respect, understanding, and kindness. Avivo helped with getting back in to therapy and general stability.
