Buckle up, this is going to be the five-est five-star review of all time. I can’t possibly say enough good things about my wedding at Hall of Kings. For the rental price, I think it’s pretty much impossible to find a better wedding experience in Minneapolis. Let’s start with the basics. It’s a beautiful space that requires very little additional décor to make it feel incredibly special. We had 109 guests and it was just about the perfect size for that group (I wouldn’t recommend it for more than about 120). Sam, the venue coordinator we worked with was very responsive and helpful. Everyone we ever spoke to was very relaxed and flexible we never felt pressured to make certain decisions. Based on other reviews, we were very excited about the food and it didn’t disappoint. Hands down the best wedding meal I’ve ever had. Everyone loved the specialty drinks too! The price is incredibly reasonable for what they offer. It’s a one-stop shop in terms of the bar and catering, so you don’t have to wrangle outside bartenders or catering services. You need to arrange your own décor setup if you bring in your own, but that’s standard across most wedding venues, and HOK provides votive candles as well as all tables, chairs, and tableware and they set up everything they own themselves. The Hepburn suite was also gorgeous!! If you’re thinking about bringing your own music to your wedding and skipping the DJ, this is the spot for you. They have a great sound system with microphones all ready to go and a soundproofed stage for the dance floor. All we had to do was plug my phone into an aux cord and people literally danced all night. The dancefloor also has alternating colored lighting that makes it feel like a party! Beyond that, the staff went out of their way to make everything easy and fun for us. The venue coordinator we’d been working with transferred to a different venue a month before our wedding, and I was very worried about being assigned someone new. But our day-of coordinator Shane was the MVP of the day!! He let us move our cocktail hour indoors into the empty venue next door when it looked like it would be too cold to host it outdoors. He made setup incredibly smooth for my vendors. He arranged to have sparkling wine and a cooler of water brought to the bridal suite as soon as my bridesmaids and I arrived. He was unobtrusive during the cocktail hour and reception while still helping me make announcements and set up the music. We hadn’t arranged table drink service, but servers made sure that we at the head table had everything we needed all night. Seriously just incredible, incredible service way beyond what I could have imagined!! These people genuinely care about making your day the best it can possibly be, and I know for a fact that that isn’t the case at every venue. I can’t recommend Hall of Kings highly enough. Deserves 10 stars!! Thank you for the best day of my life!!

We had the most wonderful experience working with Dawn and all the staff for our wedding at Hall of Kings. Everything, and I mean everything, went incredibly smooth and we were able to just enjoy ourselves. The team works like a well oiled machine. Dawn was able to answer absolutely any random question that we had. The bridal suite was gorgeous and a wonderful place to get ready the day of. Taking pictures in that area was perfect. It really had a "city" feel, which made it more special. The food was such a hit! Definitely go with the taco bar, you won't regret it. The margaritas are the best in town and will absolutely get your guests on the dance floor! We did not hire a DJ and just plugged in a phone with a playlist and this worked really well for music. The dance floor is already lit with colored lights, which is really fun. My recommendation would be to block out the window in the Hall of Kings if you are having a summer wedding so that the light doesn't shine into the room all night. It made it feel much more like a night at a speakeasy that way. All in all I would highly, highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to have a "city" wedding!

I own Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their wedding at Hall of Kings. This venue is situated in the heart of St. Anthony Main, allowing us to take many stunning photos around the area and along the Mississippi River. The ceremony was held on the patio on the side of the building, and Hall of Kings provided a gorgeous outdoor setup. The reception space inside featured stunning wood detailing and exposed stone walls, creating the space for my clients to enjoy the company of their loved ones and dance the night away. I highly recommend Hall of Kings to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with both indoor and outdoor options.

We hosted our May 2025 wedding for 140 guests at the Aster, Hall of Kings (HOK). Our goal was to have our reception downtown Minneapolis with a venue that was unique and fit our budget. We chose the HOK venue because we fell in love with the “speak-easy” vibe, the Hepburn and Redford Club rooms for the bride and groom suites, and the beautiful location on the St. Anthony Main riverfront. All of this, including the food offerings and reasonable price had us sold. I should mention that this was the first venue we looked at and felt no need to look further. We could not have had a better experience and give it a resounding 5 stars (10 stars if we could!) Here is why:

The space is unique and beautiful and if you choose, requires little additional décor. The low lit, amber lighting creates an atmosphere all its own. The venue already includes votive candles for the tables and they provide all of the tableware and chairs. Truly a one stop shop. We hosted a live band and the space and acoustics accommodated live music perfectly. For food and drink offerings we chose signature cocktails along with other drink choices, pass-around appetizers, and the taco buffet bar. Our guests raved about the specialty drinks and the food saying it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had!

As far as the staff goes, we could not have dealt with a more professional, friendly, and accommodating group of people. From the owner, Shane to the venue coordinators, the servers and bartenders, everyone was amazing to work with and it was evident from day one they had one goal which was to ensure our wedding day was perfect. We worked with Serina, the venue coordinator, throughout our planning up until the day of our wedding. She was super easy to work with and always quick to respond to our questions and requests. Dawn, the venue manager, was our initial introduction to the HOK as she hosted a tour of the venue and answered initial contract questions. Dawn was also assigned to manage our wedding day. She was incredible to work with; a true problem solver in every way. Dawn was so invested in making sure we were happy, that our guests were happy, and to ensure everything went smoothly that day - and it did!

As you can tell, we cannot say enough about our experience with the HOK; truly a first-class operation. We were so pleased with how everything went that we have taken every opportunity to promote this venue to all of our family and friends. Thank you for making our wedding day the incredibly special day that it was. We are forever fans!

Oh my goodness! This place is an absolute dream. We can't say enough about this venue and the staff! Every step of the way they were super on the ball and answered all of our questions (even the annoying ones!). The entire team was super helpful in all of the planning. Here's the thing - Not a ton of planning has to go into this space because by itself is absolutely incredible. Needs very minimal decor, but what is already there and part of the venue - is the right amount. The food? Best wedding food i've ever had and that was echoed by many guests. The filet was like butter in my mouth, the fish was incredible, and the salad was also top notch. The hall of kings has a stage which fit our 7 piece band perfectly! We had a guest count of 78 and that felt intimate yet spacious at the same time. Having access to the courtyard on a beautiful summer night was an added bonus. I barely even knew staff was around except for the main contact person checking in with me on occasion. The food was just there, perfectly laid out. The bartenders were so great and people never had to wait in line for drinks. If you're looking for an intimate venue in the heart of MPLS, look no further. If you are looking for something else....stop....this place is so fantastic and the team is wonderful to work with. You won't regret having your...
