Ok - I’ve been coming here for a long time. I’m more of a patio-go’er person and the service has always been great and attentive. Any other day - 6/5 stars. Today - no. It’s 2 stars since I’ve had excellent service and food every other time. This review is so people can be aware of the staff inconsistency. It is never ok for a bartender to take a personal call off the floor .. come back on the cell phone with their stuff all over the back counter to grab something from their bag and continue their personal call in the back. Someone from my party really needed to get going and couldn’t get their tab in time or any service for maybe 15 min. I get it’s “empty” but it’s no excuse. It’s very disappointing for an employee to act that way in front of a customer. I’ve never been ignore before as a customer or seen an employee have their cell phone out, bag and coat on the counter, it’s truly unprofessional. One star for that dinner time...
Read morePretty decent burgers overall. The toppings were well balanced, and the bun was one of the best I have had in a long time. The burger itself was a little over done, but my Wife's was cooked perfectly. My burger was also a little under seasoned, but the toppings made up for it, again my Wife's burger was better seasoned. The burger sauces they used were excellent in and of themselves. Prices were inline for a gourmet burger joint. My biggest complaint was I needed more for the sides. They up charge you $4 for anything but fries, which was a little steep, but didn't give decent portion sizes. Especially considering with the up-charge we were pushing $20 for the plate. Drinks were excellent all around, I would highly recommend the bloody mary here. Staff was amicable, friendly, and did their jobs, but nothing much more than that. I was very satisfied with the meal, and would come again if...
Read moreThis spot is a cozy and somewhat well hidden burger spot just off the beaten path. It's not hard to find but when you do, hopefully you have brought your appetite. Their burgers are quite possibly the most juicy that we have ever had, and delicious. From the plain-Jane "main street" burger to the fancy-schmancy "bad-and-bougey" with carmalized onions, gorgonzola, crispy bacon and cherry aoili, you will find a satisfying burger for any palette. The bowl of hideaway fries is plentiful and tasty. We split a Hideaway IPA which was an excellent pairing to the food. Do they brew this themselves? If so, it's worth checking out. In warmer months, there appears to be a great deck for outdoor seating which overlooks the St Anthony falls on the river, just beyond the cobblestone drive and river walkway. We look forward...
