One of the best and most challenging jobs I ever had was as the first director of operations for project Riverplace for 4+ years commencing eighteen months before opening in September 1984. I came to love the the beauty and timelessness of the Mississippi riverfront, but was also saddened to see all the restaurants and retailers that came and went, including at St. Anthony Main. This past rainy Sunday morning, precious Amanda and I did a 7-mile training run/bike ride through my old stomping grounds and she asked if I had been to FRGMNT Coffee at Riverplace? The prepackaged protein box kept in their self-serve refrigerator was decent and nearly worth its price considering it included a hard boiled egg, salami chunks, white cheddar chunks, and Marconi almonds.
Altogether, though, considering I had to pay $2 for parking on top of the $12.88 I paid for the food, coffee, and tip, not really worth the...
