Jungle Red — Local services in Minneapolis

I had my hair completely messed up here. Bleach was left in my hair for well over an hour and a half and it completely dried my hair and ruined my curls. I requested highlights, starting with brown on top to blend in with my roots and going into purple/light pink/blue highlights (the first two pictures are what I showed her for reference). She blocked out my hair, the colors were completely wrong, and left my roots untouched (the last 2 pictures are how it came out). I was willing to forgive the color mess up, even though I really shouldn’t, but when I realized how fried my hair was I wanted a refund. When my friend (she paid for both of us to get our hair done, her hair was also very fried and in worse condition than mine came out) asked for a refund, she was refused. I wasn’t there for the conversation but it was described as “she was belligerent and unreceptive”. We both felt very bad for the owner (the only one who works there now, who messed up our hair), and she’s clearly having a hard time but I don’t want anyone else spending hundreds of dollars to have their hair messed up and then be refused a refund. PLEASE...

Finding a parking spot that you don't have to pay for is difficult a little. But Jungle Red it's amazing. We had Suz. She did both my daughters hair with full balayage and haircuts. And both of my girls look so beautiful. It look very very natural. Just a beautiful job to Suz. Thank you so much again!!!

Update: now that it's been a few years since my daughter's had their hair done by Sue. I have to give credit when credit is due. My younger daughter; the one in the second picture. Started to change her whole attitude about herself. She was insecure, quiet, shy, introverted, and used to do a lot of negative self talk. Having her hair done that day she took notice of just how beautiful she always was. She started taking better care of herself, she lost weight, and has an amazing confidence in herself now. And I have to say EXTRA THANK YOU SUE!!!!! Because I 100% believe it was what you did to her hair that started her self care transformation. 😢 You truly helped little girl more than you know. Thank you again. (😢 Good tears...

I agree with the other comments. I love the atmosphere and the space.

My first few times going I went to Emily at the advice of a friend. She was AMAZING. I only went in every 5-6 months or so, but she always remembered all my stories and has fantastic suggestions for my haircut. Love her.

Last time I went in they told me Emily had a new job, and sent me to Leah. Leah was AWFUL. She ignored me my entire haircut and didn't use my name or talk with me. It was so awkward! She also cut my short, short razor-loving hair with scissors and it ended up mulleting in just a few days, unlike Emily who always managed to cut it so it looked fantastic even as it grew. I tried to help her figure out how to work with my hair, but even though everyone else I've gone to has found my hair extremely easy to cut, she just couldn't figure it out.
