I purchased a Groupon after reading the reviews & the bio’s on various Beauticians and I was impressed with this Salon & information about Sheri, so I thought I’d try this Salon. I called Sheri & found her to be very pleasant as I made an appointment with her for the following week. Upon arrival I felt immediately comfortable as I was greeted with a smile & a warm welcome from Sheri. The Salon is decorated beautifully, the atmosphere is relaxing, with a cozy warmth and pleasingly palpable. Sheri inquired as to how I wanted my hair cut, and She listened attentively which I appreciated. Sheri then washed my hair, deep conditioned it; as we had the most engaging & enjoyable conversation. My Younger Sister has been the main person I’ve allowed to touch my hair for decades. My Sister is now retired; however She owned an upscale Salon in Beverly Hills California and She is the best at all services you could possibly desire at any upscale Spa & Salon. My expectations are high because my hair is very important to me, & I’ve taken exceptional care of it for all of my life. Sheri was very confident, her touch was gentle but purposeful & appropriate, and She knew exactly what to do in the way she worked with me in all respects, and anyone who’s visited a Salon knows what I mean here. I’ll explain a little for those who don’t: When a Beautician works with a Client they must touch your head, directly the position of it for shampooing, cutting your hair & etc. The Beautician must use scissors to cut you hair & perhaps a shaver for lining the sideburns & neck and they must move your head as they do so. Sheri was very professional, knowledgeable, personable, kind, & helpful. I watched diligently as Sheri cut my hair into beautiful layers. Sheri was very purposeful & She knew exactly what she was doing & her confidence was humble in a positive manner, which made my experience exceptional honestly! My hair looked amazing when Sheri finished curling my locks with precision & perfection. I was so impressed because I’ve never encountered a Beautician that was as good as my younger Sister,(who was a Beautician/Salon owner in California), but I can honestly say that Sheri is definitely that talented. Sheri is AMAZING! I only get a haircut a couple of times a year and when I do, I am very picky. My hair is long and I like to keep most of the length and add layers and framing. I was looking for a new salon to go to and Mon Cher Ami popped up on Google Maps. I loved that I was able to walk there and that Sheri has opened up a business on Hennepin st (yay!)

Then I walked in for my haircut. Sheri is so friendly, warm and welcoming. I felt comfortable and confident with her right away.

Her haircut was exactly what I was looking for, which was a trim and the ability to just trust her expertise to do the rest.

Once she was done with the blow dry, May hair looked incredible. It hasn’t looked this good in so long! This cut is so good and I am so happy with it.

I also want to add that she did a great job explaining and describing the products that she uses at the salon. These products are from more natural lines than what most salons use. Since I’m picky about hair, I care a lot about hair products and always skeptical of the all natural ones. I feel that they usually leave my hair sticky and oily, and then I have to wash my hair right away (rather than wash 1-2X a week like I usually do). I don’t know if it Sherri’s magical touch or these wonderful products but I didn’t need to wash my hair for about 5 days. The product worked, so well, that I’m still in shock.

Once I did finally wash my hair yesterday, I let my hair dry naturally (wavy/curly) to see how the cut looked because that is also telling for me since I don’t always blow dry it. My hair looks incredible, it dried sooo well because of the cut. I am thrilled.

I will DEFINITELY be going back to Sherri for cuts blow drys and probably balayage as well no will also be purchasing her product line because I swear that hairspray was magic.
