Curioso Coffee Bar: Uptown — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I was doing some holiday shopping when I stumbled across this coffee shop/café. If you're like me, I look at the endless unrealized potential of Calhoun Square. So I was pleasantly surprised to see a new business in the mall. I love a good mocha coffee so I decided to give them a try. The specialty coffee menu is great. I had the Alice of Course which was good, could be just as good with half the syrup. I also had the cranberry white chocolate chip cookie. It was entirely too sweet and I ended up trashing most of it. I got the Ten Shillings sandwich to go and was super disappointed. The menu didn’t list the hot peppers that were on my sandwich so I had to spit out the first bite. After removing the hot peppers I tried again but the salt was overwhelming and I almost broke my tooth on the huge chunk of carrot in the middle. Super good coffee. Roasted with care, you can tell by the quarts of whole beans that they sell. You can tell that they roast with care and artistry. I appreciated they had two decaf bean options for those moments you need to dial back the caff.

Friendly and helpful staff. Big open space with a comfy area to sit/work on your laptop. Great wifi in the twenty minutes I was there! They were also playing nice atmospheric music.
