Geek Squad literally destroyed my phone changing a battery. And they had the phone for over an hour and a half before they told me they wrecked it. For brevity I won't share the entire, frustrating incident but there were two trips back and forth between the Apple Store and Best Buy, who's Geek Squad insisted the Apple Store would swap out the phone with a new one. Apple Store says they never do this and couldn't unless Best Buy paid for the phone on the spot. So, the phone I need to properly communicate with my work team is destroyed, the loaner phone is not receiving text messages, and this particular Best Buy is not accepting phone calls so I can't even find out when my new phone will be at the store. I feel that they did not do enough to fix the situation caused by their "technician" and should have done whatever needed to be done to replace my iPhone with a new one that day. I've been a loyal customer for decades, and while I'm sure other people spend larger amounts of money, all of our electronics, game systems and small household appliances have been purchased from here. Read moreMy experience with the Geek Squad was very disappointing. They are not the expert they claim to be. The "agent " came to my house to work on my internet. He asked for my Laptop to set it up and when he left , my Laptop was physically damaged, my security system was disconnected and I had spent a lot of time and energy trying to get him to come and fix his mess. I had spoken to many at the organization including many supervisors with very little response. This agent will not work after 4pm, he will not work on Friday. The work can be done only by him and he is the only "agent" in the area. He will only work on hie schedule even though he did a poor job and created the problems some of which had to be rectified by others at my expense. Some I was told by my security company only he can fix. If this is how a company is organized and if this is what our work force is made of, then forget about competing with the rest of the world. They barely even looked at the computer before sending it off to get "fixed" only to have it shipped back within a week saying that my four year old computer was too old to find parts for. They could not even tell me what the problem with the computer was. I was able to conclude that the problem was the DC jack and found the part online in about 2 minuets. Also, the client description of the problem that was written on my reciept did not reflect the actual description I gave of the problem.
